You know, I will actually pay for alternative ending DLC, instead of having the extended cut DLC.

There has been a lot of talks at Bioware for sure, but I rather have a new ending that doesn't have starchild or artistic vision on how someone presses a button (while suiciding) and solving the Reapers problem.

Bioware made their ending and does not want to really change it, okay fine, I accept that. I can give them some space, but why not an alternative ending? I mean... this is justifiably the worst ending in terms of artistic and gamer value. There is nothing, and I emphasize on *nothing*, bittersweet about it. Shephard made no choice whatsoever, no argument whatsoever, that reflects what he has been doing the whole game. I do not need to tell Bioware that a sizeable portion of ME gamers think the ending sucks.

The ending is a GROSS MISTAKE to many, many people.

I don't know, maybe the extended cut can fix the plot holes, get shephard alive and everything is happy altogether (?). But it has nothing to do with what Casey promised, like no ending A, B, C? No push a button and fix everything? Bioware staff lied to us and then defended their case with artistic... whatever. As a consumer, and a GAMING consumer at that, we pay to play. We pay. With money.

EA is certainly a company that tries to squeeze the consumers for as much $ as possible, that's their prerogative, because they have shareholders to answer to. But Bioware? Really? You would sucker punch your fans and claim your fans are not as important as your .... artistic whatever? The ones who paid for your goods and give you support and trusted you to fix things?

So... now the gaming industry is

a) Money loving
B) Doesn't care too much about the fans and their wants.
c) Having veiled remarks about the fans (just look at Bioware's co-founder blog blurb)
d) Disconnect between the gamers by trying something, too non-gamey?

The gaming reporters are

a) The sponsored ones are the biggest offenders. Anything sponsored = extremely defensive of the company
B) Cannot really be trusted.
c) Mostly never on our side. And thinks the ending is actually great. Laughs.
d) Probably never plays a game to the end.

Finally, I will never support Bioware ever again, unless the key people retires or something. No more preorders, no more telling my friends about how good they are, boycott Dragon age 3 for sure, and then looking at who's the director. If Casey's on it, boycott. The rest of their future games, I'll watch the forums carefully before deciding.
