So Bioware have announced they are going to extend ME3s endings with free DLC to provide clarity
and closure for fans. I for one like the idea of more clarity, I would like to know how my final choice or even previous choices (though that might be me hoping for too much) might affect the galaxy at large, but I firmly believe the endings should not be changed, extended maybe even refined but not changed. These endings are Bioware's and we do not have the right to change their artistic vision based on our own preferences.
It saddens me to think that some people belive an ending makes a game in all my years as a gamer there very few games I have played in which had a perfectly scripted ending, most endings were meh or downwright terrible even Bioshock one of the greatest games of this gen had a meh ending. So when I play a game I never expect much from it’s ending my enjoyment comes from the game itself not how it ends.
With Mass Effect Bioware created a universe to rival Star Wars in it’s lore and history and Star Trek in it’s futuristic Vison. To my mind there are plenty of places Mass Effect could go next I for one would love an
arc set between the Rachni wars and Krogan rebellions that arc could still have a bewildering ending and I would probably enjoy end to finish as long as it was bloody great that is just as ME has been so far .

Bioware are doing the right thing by extending the endings
