@Ghorta,
Sadly no, I play on PC. =]

I'll help you out, lol. My Salarian caps, revives, destroys elites, and brings donuts all before wave 1 starts.

Lol, thanks for the donuts!
Tho I must add that probably (definately) there are significantly more good infiltrators, just people have better memory when remembering bad experiences.

Ok, if you get a person with a Black Widow, then your team effectively consists of three people and a cowardly stationary cannon. They'll find a spot that's near ammo, get into cover and then they will just STAY THERE THE WHOLE DAMN GAME. If you have to activate terminals or hunt down enemy personnel, well you better hope you and the other two guys can take care of it because Black Widow guy ain't gonna do squat about it.

agree, Bioware please delete this sniper rifle.

Personally the problem isn't limited to the BW. It's an Infiltrator problem/sniper problem
the last 2-3 games on Silver (I still refuse to touch gold for time and the fact I feel I still suck at the game XD) I had an Infiltrator with a Raptor, Widow and then the BW respectively on each game. Not a single one went for an objective, forcing the other three of us to move in a group for the objectives.

Granted it was fun as hell. But he put the entire team at risk for his own selfish score :/
and yet twice I out pointed the Infiltrator by at least Double his Score... and I'm playing a Soldier XD.

I think you're just playing with crappy people. I love those crazy little Infiltrators, man. When I'm soldiering or engineering, these guys have had my back so often and have pulled me back from the edge of death when I've needed them.

Plus, it's pretty cool when you spin around after hearing something, see some baddie about to open up on you and just before you try to counter his head vanishes, he drops and you look over and there's some hyped up Infiltrator dancing around over there..

What makes you think deleting that weapon will improve the performance of terrible players? They can be bad players with a scoped Predator.

when im pugging on my SI or QI i always ask to do the 4 corners (just makes sense) some pug groups though all charge to the corners even when i suggest this. usually that takes longer though because between capping corners i have to go rez them several times ...

though I think on gold pugs should always defend certain areas together i do tend to hover slightly away from the group so i can snipe anything thats close to the group, some times i dont sit in the data circle if it gets hairy so i can protect the group better.

That's me alright. I sit back all day, only moving if it gets me into a better sniping position, never going after objectives, and only reviving people if no one else can.

And you know why my score is twice your's? Because I'm killing god damn everything, so that YOU'RE free to disable the indoctrination device without getting brutally murdered. Don't act like killing doesn't help the team. Don't act like I'm useless because I don't want to subject myself to the boredom of crouching on the floor doing nothing for ten seconds four times in a wave. I'm the reason YOU get to do that in the first place.

Make some friends and stop playing with randoms, simple. The infiltrators I play with regularly do it very well giving cover for team mates and doing most of the reviving.
As for the 4 device objectives, an engineer can do it safely enough by dropping a decoy, combat drone etc as a distraction. Infiltrator can then mop up from a distance.

those are noob Black Widow users

sounds like it

developers own statistics show that less than 5% of game
buyers/players even visit/read the games forums so most don't know about
Gold guides or any the points
outlined by previous posters or below (thus, they think & act like it's CalloDuty/ModernWarfare or Battlefield) --

ME3 sold 1+ million copies & shipped 3.5 million in just the 1st week so it's millions more players after 4 weeks

--yet look at the views in the forums threads... each thread has only a few thousand views & even the stickied official ones by the developers only have 45,000 views AFTER 4 weeks!

That's less than 1% of players even reading the forums

I suspect lots of new Widow/Black Widow users from the new Premium Spectre packs

Lots of noobie Infiltrators with new sniper toys who

a) don't quickscope so have little situational awareness

B) aren't used to going for objectives

c) noobs who don't realize that individual scores or rank on scoreboard means nothing since we all get the same xp at end of match --the game doens't explain this so most think it's like Call of Duty or Battlefield instead of RPG MMO where all xp is shared/same

d) stats show that most new sales & new players buy & play Thurs-Sund (the weekends) the most, hence more of such behavior around this time every weekend,

piled on top of the new Premium Spectre packs doubling Widow/Black Widow drops

this. however i will say that even cloaked, on higher difficulty levels being on the other side of the map and running into a group of just spawned enemies right on top of an objective rarely ends well.

I had my first gold game(s) yesterday as an infiltrator.

Usually I go for the objectives but at some point every single enemy came towards us on my side of the team. So us 2 on the right and a backup third from the left took out the wave while the engineer capped objectives pretty much unopposed.

Yes snipers tend to get a somewhat limited awareness. So does everyone else if they've got plenty to shoot at.

You must be playing with some bad BW users. I use an extended ammo mod on my BW and usually don't camp. On the contrary, the BW is an excellent close range weapon if you can quickscope. While missing a shot with a 1shot sniper is very rsiky at close range, you can perfectly use the BW for this because you have 2 additional shots. That's why I love it. It's perfect for ever range. You can shoot enemies all across the map or the ones that are very close. Like Phantoms for example. It's not the weapon that's bad, it's most of the players who use that are.

Bioware, do it. Seriously. And also indicate somewhere that disabling/enabling needs only one person doing it, no need to double up, especially when it's someone who is visible all the time and brings in some enemies with him.

Funny, because on gold PUG's I get lots of people who don't let me do the objective as an infiltrator.....until they die

In war, why would you move from a defensive position, ever?

To secure an objective. Have you ever heard of this historical footnote called the storming of Normandy beach?

Heck, if people never moved from defensive positions, there'd never be wars.

Stalingrad. Thermopyle. Golan Heights 1973. These DEFENSIVE battles shaped entire wars. <_<

Quarian Infiltator Black Widow represent.
I always go for the disable objectives, i always try to get kill objectives as fast as possible and i always try to revive my teamates fast.
Why i am grouped with people that like to camp ammo packs rather going there once in a while an restock ?
Infiltrators never should be stationary, they should adapt according to situations.

The battle of Thermopylae is as much a victory for Greeks as the battle of france was in WW2 for frenches.

Help me out. what point are you trying to make? My point was how not moving from a defensive positions is not only a legitimate strategy, but it has also decided the fate of entire wars. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Thermopylae was a huge victory  for the Greeks, thanks to that battle persians morale dropped to nothing  and they got obliterated in the next battle even when they where outnumbering Greeks by 10 to 1...

Both the events  I have mentioned helped toward the victory, it's mostly that most of the time holding defensive positions result in huge sacrifices (even if France did declare war on Germany they were mostly defensive in their tactics) , also Thermopylae is over-rated due to Miller's work among other.
