Hard Drive

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB - $60

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB - $60

Is that the pre-flood price? When I clicked the link, it said that was $150

Probably I can't remember. Old build anyways but still you can easily find something for cheaper.

Yeah, you can get maybe get a 150GB or 200GB HDD for that price.

If you can find a place that's selling a Spinpoint F3 for $60, link me right the **** now because I'm buying it.

I had that build saved in a text doc for a friend didn't mean to get your hopes up! Image IPB

But still you can easily find something for cheaper. $80 600g harddrive compared to the 250gb harddrive for an xbox

While am one of these "PC elitists" who does upgrade his system every few months, there is no need for me to do so if I was purely gaming. I simply require the increase in performance for uses other than gaming.

The graphics card that was in my system 3 years ago would still be able to run the vast majority of console ports today(with the exception of BF3). I don't think that console users should have to buy a PC, but neither do I think PC gamers should make do with low re textures and bad UI's from lazy console ports.
Look at BF3, that works great on a console, but still work and looks even better on a mid-high end PC.

Lol, I guess I'll just have to stick to my current build until the supply chain recovers.

I've been waiting for the supply chain to recover for months now.

It'll probably -still- be cheaper to buy another 90GB Force GT and run that in RAID 0 with my current one than to get a new mechanical. Shame too, since I'm starting to bump up against the storage limits of my external.

Hell I run Battlefield 3 on max and FSAA x1 on a single HD 5770 (like I said before) and it runs amazing. DX11 allows for a game to look really good and be really efficient resource wise. I'm surprised at how great Battlefield 3 runs.

My card 3 years ago was a HD4850, I don't think it would be able to run BF3 at 1920x1080 at max, not with my preferred 8x AA, 16xAF, 30FPS min.
It was a great card, yeah, but not that great.
GTX680 arriving next wednesday though, with a waterblock. :o
First Nvidia card I've got that didn't need SLI to run three monitors.

Mass Effect uses the unreal engine. UE isn't really resource heavy watch that samaritan demo on Unreal Engine 4 not be utilized to it's full capabilites because of consoles.
