Imagine.

You go the the doctor with a pneumonia. You complain that you feel uncomfortable and want the doctor to remedy that. He says he hears what you're saying, but is gonna give you an aspirin for that headache you're having. Then he dismissed you.

That is the situation with the ending.

Analogy is irrelevant, one has serious health implications that could lead to possible death, the other is just an ending to a video game.

^Completely agree, that's an awful analogy.

Its more like someone took a dump, cut it into three parts and asked us which one we wanted. We said, "No thank you, we don't like turds." (Maybe not so politely.) So they polished the turd at no additional cost. :D

What is a fan and how do one deserve to joint that elite club?

I don't mind the board erupting over who thought what about the ending, but this "who's a true fan, me! not you!" is just schoolyard bickering.

Based on the thread, fans agree with OP everyone else is acting entitled.

You can have an opinion, but only if OP gives it to you

Well in order to be a true fan you have to start out by filling out the
[document redacted]

and after two week you'll get the [noun] in the mail.
After that you just have to [additional redactions]

and if you're approved you'll get your official fan card in the mail within 6-8 weeks.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Honestly.

This is exactly what we DIDN'T want.

We wanted the Normandy Crash scene gone
We wanted Shepard to live and have blue babies
We wanted plotholes gone
We wanted the Mass Relays intact
We wanted closure
We wanted the Catalyst gone, likely replaced by Harbinger and some proper logic

Instead, we get only the closure and MAYBE plotholes gone. There are no blue babies - that would require a change to the ending Bioware is unwilling to make.
The Normandy will remain stranded - as if it weren't that would change the endings, see above
The Mass Relays are still gone - would change ending, see above
The Catalyst is still there - would change ending, see above

This is what we were dreading happening, not what we were asking for.
We got exactly what we DIDN'T want.
Don't assume you know us or what we want. You don't. Get it straight, then try again.

OP you seem to be really confident that Bioware can actually fix the walking plot hole Space Brat but it remains to be seen. The fact still remains that the existence of the Space Brat invalidates everything that happened in the past two games.

First DA2 now ME3... I'm not holding my breath. They can take as much time as they want making this "clarification" DLC. I don't care. I'm done with Bioware. I'm sure I'm not the only one and they'll see these figures show when they release a new game.

Of course it can. Just rework the convo with him. Add questions for Shep, arguing for Shep. Ohh and BTW since when do we believe eveything Harby & Sovereign said? Who believed Sovereign when he said "Reapers have no beginning or end" lolol? If that was true, then they would be God(s). 10x worse than star child

Right, because having Sovy and Harby being Puppets of some Citadel-AI is so much better then for them to be Megalomaniacs

It still leaves the Creator and Controller of the Reapers on the Citadel. So he just didn't feel like activating the Citadel when Sovereign couldn't? And the previous Cycles made adjustments to the Crucible that changed the AI without knowing about the AI Posted Image

The catalysts existence in current form creates some of the plotholes. You would need to rework that whole scene to fill in those...

I'm just gonna crtl+v what I posted in another topic;

There's no clarification in the world to justify that unholy kid. Actually, there's;

If Harbinger and Soverign are rogue reapers and everything we knew about the "old machines" were lies told by the rogue Reapers. And also, no clarification can explain why Shepard just accept every single world the kid says without confrontation, questions or anything at all.

I don't care if Shepard dies. I don't care if my squad dies. I don't care if the galaxy is almost destroyed. I can live without unicorns and rainbows in my ending.

I just want it to make sense. A good written narrative that follows the ME plots and logic. And IMHO sticking with The Catalyst as a omniscient organic lover/reaper commander godly entity and is a hole so big in the story that cannot be fixed.

they can clarify the plot holes and the godchild

lol, I'm gonna love seeing them try. :innocent:

Speaking as a medical professional, I have to point out that your analogy is only valid if the 3 pieces of crap are spraypainted in contrasting colours, or neatly labeled A B and C.

I'm sorry, but who exactly do you mean when you say, we? I suspect you speak on behalf of people who did not like the ending, and I am one of them, but I do not agree with you points.

I did not agree for other people to express my feelings.

I am perfectly fine with the endings, if they fill the plotholes and explain what's missing with cause and effect, not with "lol, why not." I am fine with Normandy landing on a planet somewhere, but I need to know why Joker did that and what happens to them on that planet. I do not WANT Shepard to live, I'd like to, but it is not a necessity. I agree with the mass relays and closure. I don't think there is saving the problem with the Catalyst, but I would like it explained, if not removed.

I would also like to point out to the OP, as someone who paid actual money for a product where the developers had "misrepresented" (can't say lied on this forum sorry) the ending, that I actually do feel entitled to an explaination at least.
An honest one along the lines of "sorry, the guy who wrote this was 12 beers into an all nighter, oops" would work too.

I speak on behalf of the 66,000 'Retake Mass Effect 3' signers. These points were listed as some of the key points we all unitedly stood for. There were more, but I think that lot got the picture across on its own.

Purchasing something on the basis of certain content being allegedly included does arguably make them entitled to that content, indeed - duh.

So many people throwing around this "entitled" label seem to completely misunderstand the meaning of the word?

I see nothing of this so called 'entitlement' you are saying. All I'm seeing are a bunch of consumers exercising their right to express their dissatisfaction on a product that they bought with their cash.

You are pathetic. BioWare is giving you exactly what you have been asking for: clarification, closure and blue babies and you are still whining. BioWare could have ignored you but instead they give you what you want but you ungrateful "fans" are still complaining. I have a tip for you: If you hate the ME3 ending so much(I didn't like it either) and are still rageing when they have said that they will fix it, how about you just leave the forums and stop bother the vast majority that are true fans and are happy with the extended cut. I have heard that Diablo 3 will come out within a month, maybe that can make you forget ME3?

1 : You assume that bioware gives us exactly what we want , clearly you have not
      been reading the threads.

2 : I guess you label yourself as a true fan ,  and then proceed to insult the others and basically
tell them to leave mass effect 3 alone and go buy diablo 3 ,   Riiighht... <_<

3 : you seem to do pretty well on the rageing part yourself.

4 : You only made yourself look bad as a ''so called true fan''  with this post you made.

5 : have a nice day , no iam not leaving the forums , deal with it and relax.

How about NOT killing the Geth and EDI in order to kill the Reapers, at least ?

"drive theme back to dark space" (from ME 1) <-- does that ring any bells ? It should...
