Could someone explain to me what the toolset is? I looked on youtube and well... still don't understand completely. Is it a place where you make lands, or quests, or battles, or all of them? If I make the quests or battles can I actually play through them? And if I can, won't that take out some of the fun, simply by me knowing the opponent's "perfect" battle strategy, or the answers I need to give to complete the quest?

These are just a few questions I have about the toolset. In fact, these are just opening questions that will hopefully start much more detailed conversation. Please give me all the info you know about the toolset.

Precisely. The toolset is a way for you to create content for the game, though it can still be a lot of fun to play through your creations, even if you know where all the bad guys are, where all the hidden treasure is. You get to marvel in splendor that YOU created this. Its a pretty cool feeling. Plus, what you create doesn't have to be levels, areas, quests, or whatever, it can be an entirely new NPC to join your party, or NPC, or models for bigger, more badass bosses with powerful AI that makes even you cringe in fear of facing it in battle. Its all left up to your imagination.

Its also a way for people, like me, who are interested in working in the gaming industry to create some stuff to show off to a prospective employer :)

If I make a level can I send it to a friend to see if they can break through the strategy I give to the mobs?

If you have never touched a Toolset, you may want to begin with creating an own item or a new NPC first. The DA Toolset is a very professional tool and not that easy to understand for beginners. ;)

However, the answer to your question may be yes, you can create a level (area) with monsters and whatever, send it to your friend or the whole community here and let them play through it.

Of course. That's the point! You create content that others can enjoy.
