All I can say is I look forward to getting to know Regalyan better in DAIII, because I'm almost certain he'll be a companion.

Yeah, I'm watching the special features from the DVD right now and the devs are talking about how they've learned that their fans love nothing more than a strong leading man, plus the fans are starting to wonder if there is such a thing as a good mage - so they created Galyan. One of them even just said something like "he becomes a very interesting character later in his life." Plans? I think so.

I feel like there should be a topic for it on the forums, but I have no idea where it would be appropriate to start one in any of the spoiler allowed spaces. It isn't exactly DAII. We almost need a separate forum to discuss the books, comics, and now the movie.Ericander77 wrote...

Would any of the devs be able to point me to the appropriate spot to discuss Dawn of the Seeker with spoilers? I'd hate to ruin it for everyone on the very day it comes out, or to have the topic placed in the wrong forum.

Some cheesy lines and facepalm worthy villain monologues but Cassandra was a interesting character who we saw grow in some regard in that her obsessive anger towards mages is softened somewhat and the action scenes were really cool. The combat was really well animated though I was surprised to see Cassandra move like a ninja almost in full plate armor at the beginning.

The editing seemed to misplace scenes, Cassandra's development went back and forth instead of a steady forward and overall, I don't find Cassandra that interesting. If anything, her companion, Gaylen, intrigued me much more than the atypical 'angry warrior type who mellows out'.

I've just watched 5 minutes in a trailer on youtube. Tempting. I liked especially the dark atmosphere.
I'd pull the trigger on it. The environments are well crafted pretty close to photo realism same with the dragons and the pride demon they look and feel incredible far better than what we have seen in game from either. The dialog stumbles a couple times but it isn't terrible, but the story is exciting at least, and it has a little nuance and subtlety that might be missable and leave you with a WTH just happened moment though.

Got it wrong? Based on what? Stone not being grey and brown somehow?harkness72 wrote...
I haven't seen the film yet but from what I have seen, they seem to have gotten the Grand Cathedral and Orlesian suburbs seriously wrong (bland, grey, Kirkwallish, so geometric it might as well be dwarven)Hope that isn't reflected in DAIII.

It's not the way Val Royeaux or the Grand Cathedral are described in "Asunder."Tommyspa wrote...

You don't see any of the city of Val Royeaux and the grand cathedral is described as a walled compound, a fortress of grey stone with golden statues and stained glass from one end of the structure to the other and arches that reach to the sky and a presence of somberness that told of its bloody past., far as I recall you only see the main court yard in detail and the description is mostly of the exterior.
