I really don't think that's correct, but I also don't actually care about the argument enough to search through my copy of "Asunder" for proof to the contrary.Tommyspa wrote...

It's not the way Val Royeaux or the Grand Cathedral are described in "Asunder."Tommyspa wrote...
Got it wrong? Based on what? Stone not being grey and brown somehow?harkness72 wrote...
I haven't seen the film yet but from what I have seen, they seem to have gotten the Grand Cathedral and Orlesian suburbs seriously wrong (bland, grey, Kirkwallish, so geometric it might as well be dwarven)Hope that isn't reflected in DAIII.
You don't see any of the city of Val Royeaux and the grand cathedral is described as a walled compound, a fortress of grey stone with golden statues and stained glass from one end of the structure to the other and arches that reach to the sky and a presence of somberness that told of its bloody past., far as I recall you only see the main court yard in detail and the description is mostly of the exterior.

Still confused whether it is before or after DA 2. It is mentioned that another Kirkwall cannot be allowed to happen, so I assumed it took place AFTER DA 2 ?
According to David Gaider on twitter, Knight-Commander Martel was talking about the Viscount's rebellion, when Perrin Threnold tried to expel the Templars. Not the mage Rebellion. Remember? Seneschal Bran tells you about it in Act 3.
Perrin Threnold tried to evict the Templars from Kirkwall and reform the City. The Templars fought back, and Threnold was expunged from his position. That's how Meredith became Knight-Commander of Kirkwall's Circle. She was the one who led the men against him. And that's how Viscount Dumar came into power, he was chosen as Perrin's replacement. And that's probably why any new Viscounts must be approved by the Templars.
Dawn of the Seeker takes place around 9:34 Dragon. After the rise of Justinia V.

Just watched it! I loved it!!! I hope we will see a return of many of the characters for DA3. Laidlaws walk through was nice to. It's fun to see more about how things are done. Looking forward to more!
I enjoyed the anime as well. There were some moments and scenes that did not work for me but overall I enjoyed it.
