PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS MY OPINON SO FEEL FREE TO DISAGREE WITH ME IF YOU WANT (BUT NO FLAMING OR TROLLING)

Personally I feel that BioWare should go out of business, because you know why?,

Because the BioWare employees could regroup together and form a new company, where they would develop a new game series which makes up for the mistakes which they have made and that video game will be the best thing since mass effect with a good ending to boot.

And the best thing about it?, is that BioWare will be independant from EA, which means that the "New BioWare" can put the time and effort that they done before being bought by EA.

...Ok

Minus one ending on one game, I've had no problem with any of the games Bioware has released since being bought by EA...so....

Nah I personally dont want bioware to go out of business.

A bit drastic over one ending dont you think? I do.

I love ME as much as the next rabid fan....but... yeah... no.

The only reason that Mass Effect even exists in the form we know it is because it was made by a big huge company like Bioware. A bunch of ex-Bioware employees without the financial backing would never be able to make a game like it.

I actually agree with you. I've come to peace with the fact that the "Bioware of old" no longer exists, and I'm certainly in favour of the creative minds from their past games going off onto the wild frontier, and start afresh. If Peter Molyneux can break away from Microsoft and its Kinect tyranny, then certainly the creative giants behind Baldur's Gate, ME1, Kotor1 etc, can create quality gaming as independents. Shucks, even if it's indie games for tablets, I'd support them.

I don't blame EA oddly enough after all if this was money EA would make them release ending DLC. This is just Bioware being to stuck up to accept they were wrong.

Pretty much, and hiding behind "artistic integrity" was the funniest part of it all.

They didn't have that much financial backing when they first formed, they did it before, they can do it again

So long as they follow the fans direction as to what should be put in the game eh champ? None of this "we will make the games we want to make" crap, you will make the games I want you to make, savvy?

... My point of view is beyond your comprehension.

Bioware are in business because we allow it, and they will fall because we demand it... It is inevitable. :D

It's an extreme way to escape EA. But a lot of key Bioware personel are gone anyway and the following games have really suffered for it.

DA - Brent leaves - we get DA2.
ME - Drew leaves -we get ME3.

They had enough funding to get big name franchises like D&D and Star Wars.

They've never been this super small company that only makes games that fans demand though.  Fans came naturally through the release of said games because they were GOOD.

Doesn't mean they were always universally loved however.  Dont forget their first game was Shattered Steel a game I bypassed because it interested me in no way whatsoever.

But I'm still firmly in the game that it takes more than one bad ending on a game for me to want to see an entire development house shut down.

Now the original dev teams are free to go their own way, whenever and if they do, more power to them. But just like many other dev teams that left and founded new companies, doesn't always mean they'll hit the same magic they had in the past.

By no means does it mean that.

1) Would you trust anyone at bioware to give you a great RPG/Storytelling experience after ME3 if you disliked it so far?

2) Wasteland 2 has generated 2mill in a very short time. Fan donations only. Thats enough financing to get them off the ground. Free finance.
