I keep looking at all the others but i always pick ED, it works on everything apart from Brutes and Ravagers....is anything else as useful?
Does anyone use any bonus power other than Energy Drain?

Depends on your class really. Like ED would be useless if you were a Sentinel or Engineer XD

stasis.
i can do the same thing with my gun and some power combos that i can with ED. i mean stasis is better then singularity. enough said.

Stasis. Fully leveled with Buble makes for excellent targets for my Infiltrator

Slam was my favorite power from ME2, so it was basically all I used in my Vanguard playthrough

I put warp ammo on my adept for a hardcore run. Tremendous, especially when taken for the squad. It makes singularity and pull even more effective since enemies die quick when they're in the air, and has better, stronger effects than most other squad ammo powers. By the end, I think I had +46% armor and barrier damage, plus all the bonuses for lifted target damage and armor weakening. I think warp ammo, drain, and decoy are probably the best all purpose powers, though you get decoy too late in the game to enjoy it much.

So far, I used this (tried different builds):
Vanguard - Slam/Reave/Barrier
Soldier - Carnage/Defense Drone/Decoy
Sentinel - Defense Matrix/Reave/Dark Channel
Engineer - Decoy/Defense Drone
Adept - Stasis/Barrier
Infiltrator - AP Ammo/Marksman

Vanguard - Reave
Adept - Barrier/Defense Drone/Energy Drain
Sentinel - Stasis
Soldier - Fortification
I've only used energy drain on my adept because it I can then deal with all defenses but even then it doesn't matter because warp, reave, dark channel still effect enemies with defenses and can still detonate them when those defenses are up.

^This. My Engineer is using Defense Matrix because he's got a ton of offensive and CC powers, so beefing up his shields always helps. I was considering Warp Ammo as well, and may respec for that if necessary.

For my current Adept, its stasis or warp ammo.
For my upcoming modded Adept, it'll be stasis and warp ammo

I used Energy Drain as an infiltrator. Use Dark Channel for my Sentinel. Is it me, or is the Sentinel basically an Adept with Overload?

Not true. ED is superior to Overload, so I use it with my Engineer and see no reason a Sentinel would not either.ashwind wrote...

Now to the OP's point, if there were a BETER power to use for my Engineer, I would consider it and then use Overload. It is entirely possible this thread or others may change my mind and I will change bonus powers and go back to Overload, but ED is NOT useless for an Engineer.

Defensively, yes. Overload blows ED out of the water offensively though. Especially Chain Overload. ED does not compare.

I choose Reave. I play Vanguard and Engineer. I feel Reave provides from a distance COMBO-BOOM opportunities with Liara that otherwise those classes lack.

I like Barrier/Defense Matrix on my Sentinel. The shield replenish bonus is nice when stacked with your Fitness one and Kassa chest piece.I think I have 40% total IIRC and if you want to haul Javik around you can get 55%? I choose Barrier for RP reasons personally. Defense Matrix is probably better for the on demand shield restore.
I think Defense Matrix, Energy Drain, Dark Channel and Stasis are the best overall. You can't really go wrong with any of those four.

Ditto. Gives the Vanguard some armor oomph, something that's kinda lacking otherwise.
Guddamned cerbie turrets? Overload (from squaddie) + Carnage = *BOOM*, no longer a problem.
Also, Chugster... in your avatar, whose is that right after FemShep Combat Kit? Can't quite figure out who... If it's not Liara, then you're missing Liara.

Ive used Slam, Defense Matrix and Armor Piercing Ammo
Slam because... well.. have you seen it? Lifts enemies up into the air then dunks them like Jordan.
Defense Matrix, if you trigger that it restores a portion of your shields
Armor Piercing Ammo, gives me a way to deal with armor, enemies in cover and thick clusters of enemies [BOOM double head shot]

I used it for my Vanguard till i got Dark Channel. Its good, works well on a Vanguard recharging his shields and all, i just found i like chaining biotic explosions more.
