Will you really honestly sit it out because of principles?

Seems you don't quite get the "vote with your wallet" thing. Pledging to never buy Bioware games again is dumb (having already lost you as a customer, Bioware has no incentive to make the kind of game you would like and they'll just make another CoD/GoW clone).

Instead, you should wait a few weeks after release and watch a couple of Youtube "Let's play" videos and then decide whether to buy the game.

I never said I'd leave the forum.

I just said I would be very unlikely to buy further bioware DLC/Games/Merchendise, unless at a significant discount and has good user reviews.

Which begs the question, why stay around a forum based on games you don't play and a company you do not support?

This is pretty much evidence that the Retake people are very little other than trolls and troublemakers that try to gatecrash all the other threads.

If you don't like the company or the games, you should just walk away so the real fans can enjoy.

I play the MP, for now anyhow. 

I'm also visiting the forum to stay up to date with news on the series and provide help for players who find the game hard(mostly MP).

If you think I'm here purely because of the ending, you're very much mistaken.

If you still buy the game, brand new, you are not voting with your wallet, you are still paying them for their product.

The way to hold to your threat of not supporting them, is to never buy another DLC, Game or anything from the company ever again.  And i don't think most of you really intend to do that.  It's empty threats.

And you base that assertion on...what data exactly?

Bioware have stated whats going to happen.  There is nothing left to "win". 

Anything is possible, they may yet change their minds yet again, they may not, either way, people still can have their voices heard and give feedback on Bioware's response, because the response to the response can often be as important as the response to the initial issue.

It just seems pointless to go on ruining the forums for the real fans.

And who made you king of the fans? The reason people are as upset as they are is because they love the series, because they *ARE* fans. That's about the most conceited attitude I think I've ever seen on here. Just because you don't blindly accept everything that's pushed out under the franchise name as amazing doesn't mean you aren't a fan.

Relatively few people said they were going to leave the forums. I certainly don't recall making such statement. This post seems at rather strange odds with your sig.

1) "Real fan". Is this creature akin to a "True scotsman"? 

2) Im not a part of the "Retake" movement. I am much, much too aggressive and much too confrontational for them. They do their thing and I respect them. I personally just feel they are being too nice about it. 

But its nice to see that you can extrapolate traits from a single non-member of "Retake" and then apply those en bloc to an entire movement totally unrelated to said person, despite of any empirical facts or data.

Makes you so much easier to disregard and ridicule. Not that it was hard in the first place.

Yep. They are what I call "closet happy". They believe that it's uncool to like things (because the internet usually hates things). So, they hate in public, but game all night in the secrecy of their homes. LOL.

Of course.  This is an adult discussion.  I just honestly cannot see the point in people staying, other than to further cause problems with the people that support the company and their games and decisions.  It's been stated clearly what Bioware will do now with the ending, it is not going to change, most of the Retake people are now happy and we're left with a vocal minority which look even more ungrateful than they did before.  Retake has been defeated, so why are people still here causing trouble?

Well, just to clarify, I speak for myself on this part. Those that can agree with me cna speak up for themselves.

I am disapointed, and I have removed my support of BioWare. But that does not mean the discussion ends there.

This is a process in development - the Extended Cut is not releaced, the feedback provided here, even if it is upsetting and sometimes troll-like, can still contribute towards directing Electronic Arts, and most importantly BioWare towards a more productive an widely acceptable business pratice in the future.

I also remain here to reflect on other player's perspectives to help refine my own, as well as to offer refinement to other people's opinions and feedback. I may not convice them of my viewpoints, but at least by convercing they may gain a better, and perhaps more respectful understanding of the opposing view.

This is also keeping in touch with up to the minute information as it developes within the various sections of the community. I may not beleive that BioWare values me, and have in responce recended my monitary support, but that does not remove my pourpose nor interest in being a part of the community, as BioWare may win me back. (at least this is my hope.) 

I hope this helps clarify the reasons why I'm here, without going into personal opinions on the endings or their business pratices too deep, as that would be off topic to the thread.
