I'm not as much up in arms as everyone else is about the ending, I thought it closed a fair few things, although some parts of it were inexplicable and I'd like them to close those questions down, which, apparently, they will with a free DLC.

What would you be then... infantry, I have been using an apache with advanced countermeasures.
I am still here because there is still hope that the new DLC could rock, or be just horrible. So i will stick around.

Players can simply "subscribe" to a thread if they do not want to lose it in the mass.

So I understand a lot of people are very upset at Bioware right now for the ending of Mass Effect and also for the perception that they have that they haven't been listened to or that they have been spoken down to.  I do get that although I don't agree with it.

And many people are now talking about voting with their wallets and all, which in honesty is in my opinion the only way to actually hold any sort of line and make any difference.

But what if Bioware came out with the next big thing.  Something which is better than Mass Effect 1.  Something better than Dragonage.  What if they came out with the new "skyrim", the game that everyone knows someone who is playing.

Will you really honestly sit it out because of principles?  It doesn't look like it if I'm honest.  You can all tick a poll that you will never buy a Bioware product ever again, but yet you still sit on their forums every day.  And now it's like all people do is complain and you have to consider, why not just go and do something fun for you?  Bioware have said what they intend to do, it isn't going to change, so if you don't like it what on earth is the point?

The only way you are going to hold any line is if you start to do what you threaten and just leave.  If they still get your money it really doesn't matter how many cupcakes you send them.   I think you guys enjoy Bioware games too much to actually go because if I didn't like a company I wouldn't waste months on trolling their forums like you guys are now.

Just get over it please, for the sake of everyone else here.  Shepard deserves better fans.

In every thread about a specific problem you post the same thing.  What's the matter, did you get sick of no one caring what you have to say so you finally created a thread, complaining about people complaining?
Face it, on this forum you are the minority and really give people the impression you're on EA/BioWare's payroll. You seem more unhappy here than anyone else, so maybe you should go away.

If you have a close friend that is ruining their lives with drugs and alcohol do you say nothing or confront them? EAware is not producing titles at the same level of quality as KOTOR, DAO or ME1 imho. Me too multi-player, day one DLC and MMO's are not the answer. Go back to good storytelling and characters that are not dating sims and you have a solid base to expand on. Love it or hate it Skyrim's sales have proven the RPG is not dead.

i agree, but we don`t need to attack each other because of a ending crapImage IPB

Because they have hope? Because they want to continue to get that message out to ensure it doesn't happen again, and because they are still dissatisfied customers.

You sure do make a whole lot of threads telling people to "get over it".

Look at the OP's sig. Little nice or good seems to come from the people who have adopted it. I find that rather handy actually. Such a tag means I don't have to bother reading or responding.

@ OP why do you continue to post threads that antagonize people. You keep posting threads like this people will get upset and rant. It would be nice if bioware get us fans more ending options but it does not look like it will happen. And the people that caused extended cut to happen think it is not enough it is a step in right direction for them, but they still have hope that if they complain loud enough they might get more, and if you are satisfied with extended cut it does not mean that majority of people is.

Yesterday you would expect it because they made an annoucement.

But the problem is it has been this way for a month solid now.  Any fun threads just go straight away because every single retake person feels it's important that they make their own thread to say the exact same thing the rest of them say.

Truth is, most of us are tired of hearing it now.  It's just whining.  Especially after yesterday.  So many threads went on about wanting closure for characters, Bioware promised this and now they want more.  They just look ridiculous now.

Ah. I see the problem here.

This is a difference in viewpoints as far as the pourpose of an 'official boards'.

You're primarily here to share views or casual fan discussions with other fans. While others, especially those upset, view this as a place to collect feeback efforts.

Neither one of these ideals is wrong, nor is it impossible for them to co-exist. However, given the current climate about the game, it is not unreasonable that this board, at this time, would be prodominantly feedback based. If you're willing just to engage in friendly discussion, I might reccomend reatreating to more isolated areas of the board, such as discussions in 'groups' sections, as well as possibly character sections.

Hate to be negative about this, but this issue isn't going away soon, and while it can be a bother, it does deserve the attention.

You good sir are extremely articulated, well mannered and well thought out.

You also have registered pretty much every recent Bioware game and you are obviously a concerned fan.  I have nothing but respect for you and your opinion.

The majority of the Retake people are not like you at all however.  The majority post hateful messages over and over again.  They are not articulate.  Look at the negative responses in the first page of this thread, almost none of them have registered any Bioware games besides ME2.

You seem to say I am in the minority and neglecting to notice that there is a big difference between concerned fans like yourself, and the majority of the retake movement which are simply trolls from 4chan or wherever who come here to cause upset and hate on EA as they do for every EA product.  The same people came when DA2 was released.

It is those people, and not people like yourself, that are causing the problems on the forums and it is those people that I was addressing.  The people who have no constructive arguments but "do what i want, do it for free and do it now or i will leave".

The boards would be a better place without them.

I dislike the ending, but I STILL LOVE MASS EFFECT. That is why I am still here.

The journey has been too long and too wonderful. Mass Effect means too much to me to let the last 5 minutes ruin everything.

I would have nothing if not Mass Effect. It pains me to come here and see all this constant hate, I know its the internet, but people here used to be happy.

I cannot believe that all the people that used to be here were so in love with Mass Effect, and they have either abandoned ship, or stick around kicking and screaming...

How can you let the end ruin everything you have come to love, just forget about and remember the good stuff.

BTW, yeah, I dont know why all the people who are still angry are sticking around

Because it's their way to have "fun", like some others like this opportunity to rant about something, since they don't see the point in ranting against the endings.

The "Lookatmeee" syndrome.

They might as well post in existing threads, but they would not be as "visible", so they open obvious threads that get nowhere, flood the forum while complaining about that, and fail to make a point.

Entitled whiney brat. Real fans are smart enough to realize the fine aesthethics of Biowares ending and embrace  the scathing social commentary that is included in the action packed and ground breaking MP content too. You dont deserve bioware you pleb.

ME3 endings only has 3 colors, and so do the forums : against, moderate and pros (RGB).

Anyone who does not agree with that is DLC.

Because I'm not letting a paid EAWare shill like yourself get off that easy.

And don't bother trying to convince me that you're not getting paid to be an ass. Nobody would have bothered to be as persistenly annoying as you have been without a monetary incentive.

There's a concept called the "stages of loss and grief".  Most of these folks are stuck on Anger.  Eventually they'll move on to acceptance, but that'll take awhile.

Of course, there's also the phrase "all mouth and no trousers" as demonstrated by the CoD "fans" who said they wouldn't buy a game without dedicated servers.  And look what happened in that case: http://www.rockpaper...otts-seriously/

If these "fans" are like Justin, a guy who employs fallacies, generalisations, hypocrisy and whatnot, bioware can keep them. Im confident that these people will be perfect in supporting and appreciating the "artistic vision" ™ of ME3.

LOL i'd love to be Bioware staff.

But honestly, is it that hard to believe people have differing opinions than you?  It's kinda sad to let ten minutes of a great video game ruin your experience.

If it was anything but the end it would have been much, much easier to ignore or endure.

And this is a demonstration of why many people have a hard time taking the retake campaign seriously.

the above is probably a common defence of the EA trolls
