I take a partial page from the other side. "How about you wait and see what we've got before you start singing their praise?"

While I may not blast BioWare viciously, they have made plenty of promises in the past and delivered on few. Therefore, "your words are as empty as your future;" until proven otherwise.

I'll thank them for the announcement of the free ending DLC and multiplayer DLC. It's something at least but i'll have to wait and see if the Ending DLC delivers. The multiplayer DLC on the other hand looks ridiculously fun.

I never indicated that the DLC content would be great, and I didnt thank them for whats on it either. That was not the point of the thread.

I merely want to thank Bioware for listening, they didnt need to do ****, but they did. And Im sorry but I have to disagree strongly on promises. Yes, they did promise alot about the endings that were far-fetched, but that is pretty much standard for games these days. All commercials for any entertainment is stretching the truth for what the content delivers, why Bioware must be shouted at, when they are a dime in a dozen - is beyond me.

Say Op, what if the animation extension is just the old guy rambling a little more about his sweet and stuff?

You DO know that's Buzz Aldrin, right?

I'll wait and see what comes of it. I just can't bring myself to rejoice just yet considering the last time I took their word for granted.

But thanks for the 2 first games, which I enjoyed more than any other games I've played so far. My overall feeling on the trilogy can still be salvaged hopefully.

Great thread OP,  I'm signing this. I was very happy to read about the upcoming DLCs, both the Extended Cut and the Resurgence Pack. The Mass Effect series have truly been the best game experience I've had this last decade.

Indeed, the fact that people let the ending - which Bioware now says they will make better - color everything around here, is in my honest opinion very unfair, and we who thinks otherwise should be very vocal about it.

I never had a problem with ending in itself story-wise. I had a problem with several plot holes that were mostly due to lazy programming, no closure and the fact that my choices throughout 3 games ultimately didn't really matter too much. Hopefully the first 2 will be fixed in the summer DLC, which i was positively delighted to hear will be free of charge - really helps to restore my faith in BioWare and their care for the fans. The last issue will probably stay as a stain forever but i am more than willing to let it go on account of how thoroughly and deeply i enjoyed the ME series.

Sometimes it appears as if many people (especially on-line) cling to the malcontent approach with such unyielding zeal that it terrifies me. I want to support this thread and say that regardless of this issue i still love BioWare and still think they are the top gaming company out there today.

I'm betting Bioware will even adress your last request aswell. Dont expect miracles, but I'm betting that we will see our choices being seen in the end. (I agree that it sucks that we all have to be streamlined into three outcomes).

Thank you BioWare for provinding one of the best entertainment franchise I ever consumed.
Even though I enjoyed the ending I am happy that you have listened to countless others who did not. Hopefully you can give them the feeling of accomplishment I had when watching the credits in awe.

Thank you Bioware, for putting many hours (and dollars) of effort into a DLC that you didn't have to make just to please your fans. I for one applaud the decision, and pity those who continue to whine about Bioware not paying attention. If you were expecting more than this you were dreaming, also you're dismissing it without even giving the DLC a chance. This is a win for the fans, take it.

I'm willing to give BioWare the benefit of the doubt on this, and if the extended endings turn out to be great, I'll be on these boards kissing their feet.

But sorry, they don't get my thanks until these changes are actually released. I'm sure the people worried that it's just going to be a few text boxes and a quick cutscene are wrong, and that BioWare is putting a lot of work into this. But then again, BioWare put a lot of work in the ORIGINAL ending too, and I'm not seeing a line of people thanking them for that.

So while I'm not signing up with the doom-and-gloomers who think that nothing positive can come out of extending the existing endings, I'm also not back in BioWare's camp just yet. We'll see what comes this summer.

If the ~200 hours before the last 0,5h wouldn't have been so awesome, the ending wouldn't have bummed me out either. Thanks for the 3 good games and hope you'll fix the 0,5h with rocking DLC.

You spelled the F-word wrong. ;)

I'm taking the wait and see approach. They haven't fixed anything yet.

Of course, if the game had delivered what was promised in their advertising campaign, they wouldn't be in the mire they are currently wading through...
