For Mr. Hudson no. For the rest of BioWare yes.

This!

I do not feel sorry for those who lied to the fans and to those who are responsible for this horrible ending. But I feel sorry for the big rest of the team. They deserve applause!

Why? Does he have cancer? Did he lose a leg? Did his family die in a tragic car accident?

Well, if none of those events happened then I don't feel sorry for him because all the criticism he has received he has completely earned and then some.

I know he said a bunch of stuff about the game that ended up being false. God knows I haven't been a fan of him since I played the ending, but maybe I'm starting to feel for the guy a little. They have announced free new content, so if it does the series justice I'll forgive him. For now, I'm at a temporary ceasefire towards him.

Feel sorry for him? Why should I? His game has done well and he likely will get his full bonus based on sales figures.

No sympathy from me. He made promises just like the others about the game.. our choices meaning something, complete story arc, etc. And never kept them.. As far as I'm concerned it was all false advertising. That's life i suppose but still.. I have no intentions of purchasing any bioware or ea products.

Funny thing about EA.. I won a few games ona blog giveaway late last year and they didn't contact me or the blogger for months and months dispite our constant emails and her calling them.. Finally a package appeared in late feburary...with the wrong games and they refuses saying said games weren't availible for the Wii [which they are] so yeah.. that should have been a sign of things to come lmao.

I feel bad for him, yes, but I feel he deserves every bit of criticism he gets. I would feel worse for him if he actually apologized or spoke to us instead of all this PR BS.

No.

As some have pointed out, if the ending is so worthy of "artistic integrity" then he SHOULD be able to DEFEND that integrity. His silence on that matter speaks volumes.

Nope. He made his own bed and now has to lie in it. I'm rather surprised that EA/BW have not fired him yet for this SNAFU...

A few weeks ago when I suggested this I was flamed endlessly then the moderator locked the thread.  Now everyone else is calling for his head.  I just didn't see BW coming through at PAX.  I admire all of you who really believed they would.

He lied to us.

And I don't mean accidental lies.

He repeatedly lied.

He didn't even think of this ending himself. He copied it from other sources/games.

^A thousand times this. And then he had the unmitigated gall to repeatedly refer to that as "artistic integrity/creativity." I feel sorry for anyone who ever buys into his B.S. in the future.

nope...if you read the "Final Hours" app, he and Walters were responsible for the mess we have with Catalyst. They decided to remove all the "investigation" style dialogue for that conversation...and the result? A LOT OF SPECULATIONS FOR EVERYONE

I don't feel sorry for any of them.

Look, I get that they tried very, very hard, and I appreciate that. However, their job, the thing they get paid money for, is to make satisfying games. They quite obviously failed at that. If I fail at my job duties, I don't get a "that's okay, you tried very hard, analyst integrity" as a cop-out, I get reamed.

They failed at their job, the consequences are their own. Let's not act like they made this game and then gave it to us for free out of the goodness of their hearts.

I fully believe that the supposed developer post that told us that the entire game up until the ending was created in a communal process that held everything up to peer review, excluding the ending as it was handled entirely by Casey and Mac is true.

It's the only way I can understand how they delivered such awesome-sauce throughout the first 98% of the game then fumble the ball 2 inches from the goal line.

And as that is what I choose to believe, I don't feel sympathy for him. His comment to the effect that we won't receive an "A, B, C" style ending is irony perfected when juxtaposed with the final product.
