Did you read the second sentence I wrote? Gears of War allows you to get around it. Bioware could have done the same thing.

Because Gears is a Microsoft game, that's why.

Doesn't that make Bioware not doing it worse? Microsoft wants people to pay for XBL. If a game they (Microsoft) had a hand in making allows you to get around paying for their service then why can't Bioware?

Bioware has to go through more channels than Microsoft. Idk, I hate xbox mostly for the reason that they charge you for something you already pay for.

They're not "teasing" you with anything. It's FREE. Free, as in it costs nothing. You get to download a major multiplayer pack and ending DLC for absolutely nothing.

...and people still find a way to complain about it. What a joke.

Because people were convinced that the RetakeME3 movement was going to bring about a completely redone/rewritten ending from Bioware.  That was never, EVER guaranteed.  (And don't get into what was said by Casey Hudson or anyone prior to the game release; that's not what I'm talking about.)  In fact, nothing at all was promised to any of us regarding a change to the ending, but the RetakeME3 movement and the passion of the fanbase pursuaded Bioware to do something to address the issues the ending raised.

But, nope...that's not enough either.  Rather than even give them a freaking chance to release the DLC and see what it does to the endings, they're content to liturgically fling their anger and bitterness upon everyone and shoot down anything remotely positive.

It's really unfortunate, to be honest.  Oh well; they're not bringing me down.  I'm excited for the new MP DLC and for the Extended Cut, and I fully intend to keep on supporting Bioware despite my dislike of the ending.  That's just how I plan to roll.

You know what multi million means yes? there is almost 3 million sales of ME3 now, I would say that's more than one million yes? still with me? Multi by definition is more than one or two. seeing how it's beyond that, it IS a Multi Million fanbase. Hold dat.

Substantial as that may be, a good portion of those were preorders, before people began putting on the brakes so to speak. Again, it sold well, but sales have to be dwindling. Word of mouth is a powerful tool when it comes to consumer spending. A lot of the negativity surrounding the ending debacle has had to have an impact on sales as well as future sales. Which, in my personal opinion, is why the two announced DLC's so far are free. As charging anything for them would surely net them almost no profit. Again, just personal observations.

Also, unrelated; I can't see the appeal of this DLC other than it being free. But the multiplayer aspect of the game got old rather quickly for me. But I suppose Horde mode, in every iteration, has it's appeal.

Or they never meant to charge for expansions of the MP in the first place. (MP is the equivalent of "cerberus network" for ME3, I guess)

I just want a damn Mattock!!!  That's one of my favorite weapons, though that N7 Valiant I got with my Commendation Pack...mmm, that one is my precious.  My Quarian Infiltrator can take out three Cerberus troopers, cannibals or Geth troopers with headshots within 10 seconds of a wave if I'm in the right position.  Now that is a sheet cake made of victory.

The Mattock and the Saber... omg the Saber is AMAZING. It was my go-to gun on Insanity, especially when I got it upgraded to 10. In MP I only have the Mattock to 4, I think. And I always get shotguns, sniper rifles, and pistols which I NEVER USE.
