I'm getting this weird problem when I try and Load level layouts into the area editor. Basically they show up as completly black, not just unlit, I can't even see path finding nodes or anything.

It's worked for me before, and I don't see what I've done differently with the level, although at one point I did get an error message about not being able to load the terrain world it didn't seem to have an affect on the level.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I've just tried Posting the level from the single player module and it still fails.

Never mind, I was being an idiot and I set my baked lights intensity too high by mistake.

i think this means you have to run the lightmapper again. I have had the same prob.

I fixed it by going to my mod (not singleplayer) and rendering lights and posting locals, then i posted locals again under single player for areas that have water.

you can't just post locals under singleplayer it seems.

huh? how can having a light too bright make everything appear black?

i had this prob and it seems the lightmapper info had been lost somehow, so i had to rerun lightmapper to get my area to not show up all black.

I guess it may not have been the light, I also ran the light mapper.

I think lights can make things black if the colour is black and the intensity is high (at least thats how it works in some other engines)
