I do wonder how they intend to balance this. Currently Krogans MP classes both have grenades and a "Tech Armor like" ability; neither of those would fit in very well in a vanguard mode. And since Krogans can't roll, they could end up being some of the most "berserker mode" vanguards. As cool as I think they'd be, I can also imagine a lot of dead Krogans in Bronze / Silver games and frustrated teammates ><
Finally someone with some common sense :>

Barrier would probably work pretty well for vanguard, I'd think.

he never showed it in me 1 if i remeber right he always used barrier/carnage not once did i ever see him move forward like vanguard so that would incline that he wasnt and sinc ei am playng another plaue thru of the me series i can tell you he isnt and i just checked he doesnt have charge and yes he is a krogan battlemaster and yes he does have throw and warp and stasis, but he does not have biotic charge!
edited to reflect that i just checked in game me1
so there you go there as now there should be no krogan vanguards in the entire lore of the game and wrex is doesnt not have charge in me1

As cool as it looks I think alot of people are going to rush towards it when it first comes out only to realize that they aren't mobile enough to be vangards even with their crazy high HP\\shields.
I see myself getting pissed at krogans in the very near future.

I'm absolutely certain Krogan Vanguards will be a mess on Gold. A complete and utter mess. But oh well.

he was a mix of soldier and adept. That means Vanguard. He did not use fortification, he used barrier, a biotic ability. He could also use warp, stasis, and throw.

2. Wrex is a Vanguard. He has all the powers of a ME1 Vanguard. If he was a party member in 2 or 3 he likely would have had charge.

Question first...
What is "best"?
Clearance time? Kill count? Top score consistancy?
Or the illusion that Charge + Nova is the end all of combinations? The reason I ask this is because I play an Asari Vanguard regularly and I have beaten EVERY human Vanguard in both Kill count AND Top score. Consistantly.
How you ask? Easy... Stasis + Black Widow + Charge... all over the map.
It is just a gentleman's wager... we can disagree about it at the end, nothing's at stake. But to me best would be a combination of:
-Team synergy - does it work well with others? Can it fill a "niche" in a specialized team? I think the drell adept is a great class because it's the best primer for biotic combos. Charge - nova is one of the best detonators, since it is very fast to spam and tanks/draws aggro at the same time.
-Individual capability - best measured in solo gold. A decent measure of survivability if something goes wrong as well as how well a class can kill and/or cap objectives. The salarian infiltrator is the exemplar of a class high on individual capability, though it also scores well on team synergy thanks to cloak helping with objectives and revives.
Of the two, I value the first more than the latter, but both are important. You can disagree and come up with completely different standards if you like. As long as a lengthy discussion about krogan vanguards is also included.

Don't know why they started the endless buff/nerf cycle in a co-op game to begin with, the cycle cannot be broken.

Bronze and silver are nothing to get frustrated about, lmao. If you die you are either being merrily reckless or bad.
Bioware needs to balance krogan vanguard for gold. It may work out; if so, I will continue playing this game

You guys need to quit your whining and go back to your infiltrators/adepts. Whom I am already annoyed at.
If krogan vanguard isn't good on gold, then I'll just stop playing the game

Human Vanguard's strength is it's ability to tank hordes of enemies, even on gold, not score the highest. Even so a good Human Vanguard will outscore an Asari of equal skill everytime. I generally get 130k with Human Vanguard on gold even though I prioritize team protection over scoring.
It doesn't really matter if Krogan will be the best or not though, it's another Vanguard to play with and it's Krogan

1 dont care what you think
2 second he was a battlemaster... if you watch they have 2 different names for it first they say battle master second they say vanguard
and i am sure as hell he did not have all the powers and i will check to make sure and bliss he never moved forward with biotic charge i alway save him in the vs part so i never see him charge forward on his own unless they changed it in me 1 but to this lore battlemasters do not have biotic charge..

If Bioware follows the MMO model of nerfing and introducing new classes, the new ones will be ridiculously overpowered, everyone will rush to play them, and then they'll get nerfed into oblivion ("balance").

There have been very few nerfs since the game came out.
