At least after my the single-player garbage ending I can play the barely-canonical multiplayer with new people. Now, I wonder, will the new characters be auto-unlocked or will you just gain the ability to find them in Veteran/Spectre packs? I'm hoping for the pack option, I'd rather not spend every match with a team of Geth Engineers or Krogan Battlemasters testing out their new classes.

I'm looking forward to this. It doesn't change my stance on the endings, but as someone who enjoys both SP and MP, I appreciate the fact that Bioware is providing us with free extra content for the multiplayer side of things.

I think people are overestimating how much EA cares about what people say on internet.  It's a marketing strategy that was probably planned before the game released.  

Give the players something new a little while after release. That way their disks stay in their tray and off the used games rack.  It's of one the few marketing strategies that actually pays for the consumer.  So enjoy it!

I think everything looks awesome and can't wait to play it.

Call me a cynic, but this really doesn't seem to be all so much as it's being made out to be, IMO.  Free DLC?  The maps are free -- that much is good.  Thank you.

The rest?  They added more shinies in their random 'packs' to entice us to buy more, and that's 'free?'  Hmm.  That gets a pass from me.  Ah well -- I've pretty much written off ME3 at this point anyway.  Think I've had about as much fun with it as I'm likely to.  Saving the DLC monies for other games.

It's very cool - especially the "it's free" part, didn't expect it. A good PR move.

But...

... if Bio wants to keep people interested in MP for a long time, they'll have to make more new maps (not just 2) and new enemies DLCs before it's loo late. 'Cause otherwise I can definitely see people getting bored with this perfectly ok but not exactly stellar or unique MP in the long run (say, before Summer).

I'm sure that they'll trickle out their new maps over the next year. They don't want to give everything away in one go afterall.

I've been dying to play as a Geth. This DLC gives meaning to my MP exisitance. Happy times!

By the way, it may interest you to know that alot of people are actually HAPPY about the free DLC (including members of the retake ME3 movement), and that it's only people who don't play multiplayer (or at least, not very often) that are the one's saying no thanks.

Its actually surprisingly fun. Unless you have a 360 with only Silver status, I reccomend trying it out just a few times regardless. Just be wary of the occasional douches.
