I have every character race/class and haven't spent one dime on Microsoft points. (i play on XBL)
you can get the new character races in the recruitment packs, therefor you can earn them with in game credits.

Agreed, and therefore players don't have the right to complain when they get shafted after spending 50 dollars on spectre packs

I'm pretty sure we have to unlock the new characters and weapons via packs otherwise I bet it wouldn't be a free dlc.

Well no duh. Its that people seem to think the only way to get a spectre pack is to use actual money on it...when you could simply do as a normal sensable person would...and play the MP, gain credits...then spend credits on the pack of their choice...thats all i'm sayin.

That is a reason I like my ps3 over the xbox....I dont have to pay for mp and can use credits for the packs. but in essence you are spot on.

Umm...XBL costs money...no matter what...not just to play ME3...
and the packs? only an idiot would spend actuall cash on something you can achieve IN-GAME. lol

Join the club. Seriously there's a group about it. The only way to have a decent chance at getting what you want is by paying for points or finding a glitch/bug which is why we see people with Black widow X and Paladin VIII. The odds of getting these legitimately are highly unlikelely, although i somehow managed to get a GPS X but that just pissed me off, as I never use it.

In summary: MP unlock system sucks. Improve it Bioware.

I disagree. Yes, I have noticed that most of the time I have definitely the worst gear compared to other ones in my teams, but I still enjoy the game after I finally got it working (I had problems with random disconnects).

I see no problem unlocking the stuff while you're playing. If someone has found a glitch like mentioned, that allows them to get huge amounts of credits, then fine. It's not off from me really, in fact if they are in my team, they will help me win the matches faster, if anything.

Also, I don't understand what is wrong with people, who complain about this new DLC. It is free and even though you have work for it to get all the stuff unlocked, I see no problems with it whatsoever. Why should you get it all handed to you? Surely, its much satisfying, when you actually do unlock something, whether it is a new character or weapon, when you have played matches and earned these "items".

It might take a while, but still, its fun anyway.

I TOTALLY agree, we see soo many people moaning and groaning about they want this and they want that...they sound like my 2 year old niece!! Seriously, GROW UP PEOPLE!
In the SP you can buy whichever weapon and mods you like, and can then upgrade them how you like...and it just made things...boring. If you could buy the weapons to X straight off...what reason would you have to keep playing? you already have your weapons maxxed...and the characters simply keep repeating...you'd get bored, and then you'd complain that things are too simple and boring...

I'm still waiting for my relatives in Canada to come here to Turkey and give me the Collectors Edition I asked them to get. They won't be here for another couple of weeks. Can I get the dlc without owning the game, so that I already have it ready to install when the game arrives? Is there a link for all the dlc like on the ME2 site?  I appreciate that Edmonton, where my folks live and where the ME team is, is nine hours behind me, so it's still Monday 9 Apr for them when I write this.

I doubt they will change the unlock system. The current system is clearly used so people will pay money for unlocks

If they gave us a good system like in BF3, suckers wouldnt have any need to pay money for Bioware points
