Pro-Enders, because we are the silent majority.

I doubt if a single Retaker actually showed lol....checkmate.

Again, please learn the terminology of a chessboard.

You're one of those folks who think bishops can move forward, aren't you?

While I don't believe the audience had so-called "plants" among them, I do believe most questions were pre-screened. It happens often on talk radio, public Q&As, and what not. It's one way of keeping things orderly at such an event. And it's a conveinent way of avoiding uncomfortable issues (i.e. a bonus).

It was what I was expecting. And since the DLC announcements, I wasn't expecting much more about the endings than what was already released.

@MintyCool - the forums are for discussing games-- this one, specifically, for discussing the story and campaign of Mass Effect 3. Both positive and negative feedback is welcome as long as it is civil.

You have not added anything to the discussion of the game; rather, you are dissing a group of gamers in the hopes of inciting their reaction. Sadly, some other users have taken the bait.

This needs to stop, now. Please.

Ok so I took my shepard deserves better fans banner down. Because you guys have lost this. The majority of fans outside of forums, sure they probably didnt love the ending, but that wasnt the biggest question on their lips.

Most of them only didnt like the ending because they want to see tali have a house on rannoch or garrus go do something cool, they don't mind plot holes.

Its a very vocal very small online minority which wants a rewrite to the ending, and most of them are basement dwellers who don't leave their home, so they weren't at PAX.

Honestly at this point we blame ourselves. We got an opportunity to make our points known to their face and we dropped the ball. The questions asked were largely fluff. The problems that have come to define the retake movement were largely ignored by our representative players.

What else is there to say?

So out of all the things that could be asked it was entirely coincidence that we got a bunch of utterly inane ones?

No those were just regular non-obsessive fans and that is what they care about. They made the effort to dress up and go to PAX and those were the questions they wanted to ask.

Dare I say that was the silent majority? I think I shall!

Like I've always said, RETAKERS are the vocal minority.

Pax proves it!

Does someone pay you to go into every single ending thread ever, comment on every single RME comment, or do you really not have anything better to do?

That's the kind of thing that could easily be flipped 180.  You'd think that some people have made a full time job and could pay their bills just by the amount of effort they put into demanding a new ending.

Exactly.

how does having a job/life have anything to do with taste and wanting good content from products they spent so much of their pasttimes with?

Because we know how much time it takes to post in the forums and how much thought and time people spend posting/reading/researching, etc.  It is apparent that some people have absolutely nothing else going on in their lives as they can't possibly have any other free time to spend.  It is all spent on rage in the forums.

I spend a lot of time here...too much according to my wife.  I also try to play the game when I am not working or playing with kids, etc.  I have seen people posting dissertations and hundreds of posts on here.  That is incredible.  It also is kind of scary.

I find it funny how Retakers seems to know everyones motives. Very arrogent if you ask me...

RETAKERS PWNED WITH LOGIC!

They continue to be in Checkmate. The last gasps of a dying dog.

The good thing about dying dogs are they go uber defensive and likely to rip the face off the next thing they see.  Even if it is a stupid lookin, schadenfreuden lovin, limp wristed, fart sniffin, crap eating ****.  A threat and a insult go away with your self righteous indignation.

Totally worth a ban because this guy is scum.  And to think I felt sorry for you yesterday.

Most interviews have plants to ask questions to take up most of the time if it is potentially negative.

So they probably were paid to rush.

If they were going to pay why risk the wrong person getting to the mic? Why not select the questions themselves?

If you were in charge, would you want it to be that obvious?

This way if necessary, they can confirm they didn't prescreen and that they asked the questions as they came for 5 minutes instead of 10.

Dude will you take of your tinfoil hat for a second? This isn't Watergate ffs. If anyone had asked a question about the ending they could have just said "That will be addressed in the Extended Cut DLC". Paying people off is unnecessary and very risky if you are caught doing it.

This isn't conspiracy, this is admitted and well known at many locations, over many times, and a lot of cases have been at PAX as well as NUMEROUS places, E3, GDC, hell even non gaming based. It happens everywhere, it's part of basic PR. You pay people, EA has a huge list of confirmed instances of paying people to do stupid or questionable things, and there is no short supply of takers.

Advertising costs hundreds of millions for EA each year.

As for what they couldn't counter..

If anyone asked them about how they screwed over their supporters with all the false advertising, and how they can explain the potentially illegal statements they made.

Was the crowd asked not to ask specific ending questions? I mean, was there an understanding that the panel wouldn't be talking details about the ending?

So? What was there to lose by asking them anyway? If people want to ask difficult questions you shouldn't be able to get off the hook by ignoring them. The only other people who make a habit of doing that are politicians and look at how little respect they're held in.

I agree, just trying to understand why the whole topic was avoided for the most part.

what an absolute disgrace, the panel should have had hudson on it, and he should have put his hands up and said "ok guys!!! what do you want to know?" then he tells us whats going on, whats going to happen and let it go.
theres no big secret to hide from the extended cut, tell us what its going to be FFS,
where is the omega dlc???
all we got was back patting and QUESTION AVOIDANCE with none of the panel having the spine to take the helm and treat us with the ****iing respect we deserve.

Never in the history of computer games has a company fouled up so badly, i dont think bioware is going to survive the summer, i really dont.

Bioware is nothing but empty promises, a shadow of its former self, skirting round issues and running like a thief in the night, yes bioware you not only destroyed all we ever loved but robbed us and now you deserve to go into administration.

FFS i payed you to make me feel traumatised and dont ever want to experience that ending again,
stick your dlc, and any other game you decide to crap out up your unconcerned jackseys

They?

So you have personally spoken with every member of the Retake movement?

Not only spoken to them, but every single one of them called you a low life?

Don't paint any group with a single brush.

For the record, folks, KGBrAm and I are living proof that a person who enjoyed the ending and a person who didn't can be respectful friends.

(Though that might just be that if we got into a physical altercation, it would be such a sad and embarrassing spectacle of two people laying on the ground wheezing that onlookers would feel mostly pity.)

Did you honestly just make a stereotypical statement constantly proven false without any information whatsoever to back that up?

Do you know anything about PR and standard interview procedures? Do you know anything about all the proof that PAX always has paid questioners in almost every one of their game sessions?

Do you know anything whatsoever?

Reported again.

Piemanz, saying that they are like "dying dogs" implies that they will be done away with and ignored. That is a well rooted euphemism for a scummy person
