I'm sorry the room was crowded and I wasn't near the microphone?

Not sure what you wanted from the Retakers given there were all of 7 minutes for Q & A.

what an absolute disgrace, the panel should have had hudson on it, and he should have put his hands up and said "ok guys!!! what do you want to know?" then he tells us whats going on, whats going to happen and let it go.
theres no big secret to hide from the extended cut, tell us what its going to be FFS,
where is the omega dlc???
all we got was back patting and QUESTION AVOIDANCE with none of the panel having the spine to take the helm and treat us with the ****iing respect we deserve.

Never in the history of computer games has a company fouled up so badly, i dont think bioware is going to survive the summer, i really dont.

Bioware is nothing but empty promises, a shadow of its former self, skirting round issues and running like a thief in the night, yes bioware you not only destroyed all we ever loved but robbed us and now you deserve to go into administration.

FFS i payed you to make me feel traumatised and dont ever want to experience that ending again,
stick your dlc, and any other game you decide to crap out up your unconcerned jackseys

QFT! It's simpy amazing for me how they handle the whole thing.

So for any Retakers at PAX, please PLEASE talk with the Devs at the booth if you can. Try to get SOMETHING out of them.

=(

Pro-Enders, because we are the silent majority.

I doubt if a single Retaker actually showed lol....checkmate.

You liked the endings, I'm prefectly fine with that. You should be happy, you got the game you were expecting. We're not at war with anyone, not even "Pro-Enders",  so what is the point of your posts? You don't like us? Noted. Now will you really keep on posting to tell us how much you hate us and how stupid we are? You got your game, you liked it, leave people in peace, you're only posting in order to attack others here.

And think about one thing: if the people who didn't like the endings are so few, why is Bioware releasing a FREE DLC? Would they do that if we were just an insignificant number?

And say you are part of the majorityif you want, but you are anything but silent.

If it exists, it probably has been delayed because some people politely asked yelled at BioWare for additional content about the ending. So BioWare is making that first.  :kissing:

@MintyCool has sent me a personal message apologizing for getting carried away. There is no need to continue quoting this user.

It is time for this thread to move on and return to its stated purpose. You are welcome to discuss what was addressed (or not addressed) at Pax East today. As always, all discussion must be game-related, on-topic, and civil.

Carry on,

RI

Ok so I took my shepard deserves better fans banner down. Because you guys have lost this. The majority of fans outside of forums, sure they probably didnt love the ending, but that wasnt the biggest question on their lips.

Most of them only didnt like the ending because they want to see tali have a house on rannoch or garrus go do something cool, they don't mind plot holes.

Its a very vocal very small online minority which wants a rewrite to the ending, and most of them are basement dwellers who don't leave their home, so they weren't at PAX.

I was one amongst, well I really can't say how many, who fits that description somewhat (last 10 minutes don't fit narratively in my humble opinion) and would quietly rage at the mere sight of that banner. So I thank you.

If you like, the Naked Yahg need advocates. :D

Like I've always said, RETAKERS are the vocal minority.

Pax proves it!

lol

Public events for game companies have taught me one thing, and one thing only.

Gamers crap their pants when put in front of the game developers and are so busy afraid of being an outcast in the face of their revered gods the questions they ask go from "What the hell is the Starchild and why?" to "Dur hur hur, will I be able to romance my Batarian MP character hur dur hur."

Sorry, but it's been a couple of minutes and I'm still finding this really funny. I have partaken of a glass of vino, but still. You Are Very Funny.

Haha. Cheers.
Its partially based on a true story. Ive been to a lot of game releases, conventions whatever, never seen anyone ever ask about a serious grievance they've had.  Did meet some friends of friends once who were adamant they were going to ask about something with the direction of an anime story or some such, when they got their chance, they froze, asked about becoming an artist and then tried to convince themselves it was because they didn't actually have an issue in the first place, or that it wasn't the best place to ask anyway etc.

I can well believe it. If I'm honest, I'd probably be the same, faced with asking a difficult question to people I admire who clearly won't want to answer me, and will probably dislike me for asking in the first place ... Being ballsy and confrontational isn't as easy face to face as it is tapping away at a keyboard with all that lovely Internet Anonymity at our disposal...

Regardless, you've brought me some amusement this evening with an image of a Batarian LI that I can only hope someone provides some mindlbleach for :P

Thanks, Icinix

Indeed.

What have they got to lose by being open and honest about this? It's the only way they can win back a modicum of respect from all the people they've upset. Is the truth so bad that people will get even more angry than they're getting from being brushed off? Or is it simply wounded pride? I can't think of any other reasons.

No one won or lost anything, I wasnt aware we were fighting.
All sarcasm aside we had what six questions in 10 -15 minutes? Pre screend softball or not that isn't much time certainly not enough for a decent QA. Yes we all hoped for some "better" questions but with so little time the chances of getting them were slim at best. Im sure those that asked questions got the answer they wanted, and possibly wanted others to ask harder questions.
Hopefully bio will take this "we are listening" a little further and use their social network as one and set up a QA here for us where we can submit questions. Yes they will have to be selected as there will be to many but it would give a better spread of questions than a ten minute panel could have. They have been promising a discussion for a month now.

What a load of tripe that was... I was expecting questions about:

EMS, Harbinger (or lack of), Joker's cowardice with LI(who was on the ground with me), Mass Relays, Grandad, Starchild, Planet of the Normandy crash site, Rachni, Geth not being shown in the final space battle, alongside Volus bombers, Batarians, Aria's mercs and many others, All the systems destroyed? According to Arrival, Anderson getting to the panel before you, TIM controling you. And many many many more.

The ones that were asked were... a waste I think is the kindest way of putting it inmy opinion.

I think you listed about every good question. A lot of them may not have been allowed because "it had to do with the ending." I still can't believe that one question about facial expressions. I saw that and was like "seriously?" that person may have been ripped to shreds after the panel.

Nice of you to admit that you're in the minority.  Unfortunate that you think you know anything about Retakers you have never met.

pax is nothing, bioware is not that deeply indocrinated to believe that the retake movement is a minority , 99% of us doesnt even know what pax is, the questions like someone pointed out probably were made by people who actualy didnt like the endings but couldnt find the courage / right words and just gave in to the nerves , its not easy to speak in public, just calm down guys.

Glad that one of the questions addressed the IT. Too bad the answer didn't confirm or deny anything.

Every other question was pretty pointless.

PAX was a waste of time.

For at least 2-3 weeks Bioware has trumped up PAX.

And they did nothing but waste time.

Or, the fact that standard company policy is "No Spoilers".  Besides, if they said anything, you'd hold them to their exact word.  And then the backlash if even the slightest thing said turned out to be wrong...?

Yeah.  It's more than just an either/or.

In fact, the answer is a LOT simpler than you think:

They wanted to address other things.
