Bioware have announced a new patch which fixes the face import bug among other things

Details can be found here: http://blog.bioware.com/

Patch Notes:
April 9th – PC
April 10th – Xbox and PS3
  • Fixed issues when in some cases Shepard’s customized facial features from ME1/ME2 may not be properly imported to ME3
  • Fixed an issue when quickly and repeatedly selecting to Resume a Save could result in Player Level reset and a potential locking of powers.
  • Fixed an issue when selecting Multiplayer in the Main Menu while under a poor network connection could result in an unresponsive state.
  • Fixed a potential crash while accessing an in-game terminal from Eden Prime level.
  • Fixed an issue when attempting to login while Server is down. It would display a Server Down message and accepting the Server Shutdown message would shut down the game.
  • Fixed a potential memory crash while loading a Quick Save of a custom FemShep.
  • Fixed an issue when restarting missions and acquiring an above max amount of weapon mods results in displayed debug text on-screen.
  • Fixed an issue when an unresponsive game state could occur during transition after the Conduit level.
  • Fixed an issue when DLC game saves can be accessed from an account without DLC if another account on the same computer has access to the related DLC. (PC Only)
  • Fixed an issue when saves from different accounts on the same computer may become locked if one account has access to DLC which the other account does not. (PC Only)
  • Fixed an issue when potentially the game could enter unresponsive state when transitioning from the Holding Docks area to the Normandy Docks area of the Citadel. (PS3 Only)
Update: It seems some people have been having trouble with patch

Don't see anything about the credits/BioWare points bug in MP. Bummer.

About time, but I am glad they're finally fixing the import issue. Thank you BW.

I think it is more of a case of no one ever bothering to visit the Bioware blog.  I really don't get Bioware sometimes and they way the treat this forum.  It seems they will announce important stuff everywhere except the damn forum where a lot of users get their information from.

I'm pretty sure the only thing they haven't announced on these forums so far is this weekend's multiplayer event. Everything else has gone up here within a reasonable timeframe.

OT: Good to hear they're fixing the import bug!

Not much fixes for Multiplayer are there. The multiplayer is what needs fixing most ... o_o

At least we know they're working on em. I'll be downright impressed if Bioware comes out victorious and makes the ragers seem foolish.

I think its because the face import is an old and more prevlant issue, whereas the multiplayer issue is alot more recent, patches take time to make.

That's more of a feature, think about it.

Perhaps I should've been clearer in what I was saying.  I am talking about the timeliness of the announcements appearing in the forum.  Yes they do eventually get here and most of the time it is down to the fact another user has seen it elsewhere and posted it.

This is the perfect example of what I am talking about.  This is an announcement for a very important patch that fixes some very important issues.  It should've appeared here before it appeared anywhere else.  When people go searching for solutions they don't go to a blog they seek out the games forum to see if there is a solution to their problem.

Anyway it is nice to see they finally fixed the face import business.

It's good they're focusing on game breaking bugs rather than the ending for now.  I just hope they start looking at the immersion breaking bugs like Shepard using an assault rifle even if she isn't carrying one, or characters walking through a floor.

I would like the Tali zombie glitch to be fixed, i guess it isnt hard to remove a cutscene if Tali is dead.

Announcing it sooner or later doesn't change the release date of the patch. Plus I'm pretty sure things are hectic with most of the PR team attending PAX. ^_^

Unfortunately, the most serious "bug" will not be fixed - the star child. Just patch him out!
