I'm not getting the armor set bonus when equipping all 3 pieces of the Warden Commander armor from the DLC. Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it? Thanks!

I dont think bonuses show in camp. Also, when you leave camp, you need to unequip / re-equip to "refresh the bonus". Lame, yeah

I haven't tried this yet but I will keep everyone posted to see if it works for me. BTW, I'm using the Xbox 360 if that matters to anyone.

I get no green item bonus icon either, no matter how many times I unequip and re-equip. Also I never got a shield from Sophia. I beat her a bunch. Maybe you gotta fight her before you agree to go to the tower.

i read somewhere you have to equip "the helm of the deep" to get the set bonus to work. havent tried it to confirm though...

Yep I tried this too and alas, no bonus

you get the shield from a locked chest (need a rogue to open it) in the keep, not form Sophia.

No the Warden Tower Shield is a random drop from Sophia. Several have posted having to fight her 50 some times before she drops it.

There is no such item as the Warden Tower Shield. Sophia only drops the WC Armor with a Heavy Metal Shield bearing the Warden colors being another item in the castle.

Methinks that someone is getting their chain yanked. Everything on that shield corresponds to Duncan's Shield which you get after finding the gift item for Alistair.



The only items available in Warden's Keep are as follows: Antique Warden Crossbow, Asturian's Might, Robes of Avernus, Shadow Belt, Starfang (LS and GS), Warden Commander Armor set and Winter's Breath.



The Heavy Metal Shield I mentioned before is just a special variant you can buy with the Warden Colors on it and can be bought from the Dryden Smithy at Soldier's Peak.

I have also looted the Warden Commander shield...sadly it was with a Rogue as my Main Character. Am trying to do another warrior playthrough so I can snag it. No one is yanking anyone's chain, it does drop.

Then give me a source that doesnt use the wrong items as a basis. The link provided above goes to Duncan's Shield and was just called Warden Commander Shield.

Really nothing credible shown so far as the game has no random drop items in it in regards to special weapons and armor.

If its dropping random, which honestly none of the best gear in the game is random drops and can be gained from defeating specific enemies as part of quests or gained by other means through quests. I dont see a reason to make one, and only one item go against the games drop system when it might as well drop normally like everything else does.



I am starting to think that, if this shield exists, that its a bugged item and not a true random drop.

Both of them if you look at their stats have the same bonuses and the same description which shows that is is more than likely a hoax as the devs would have tried to make this a unique shield/weapon instead of a reskin of another late game shield/weapon.

Back on topic of the thread, I have the bonus from the WC set so the doesnt really need the shield to actually gain the bonus to begin with.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that if is was a DLC item, it would have a red background behind the item icon to show its not part of the core game.

I have the Armor on Alistair for my Rogue and Mage runs, and on myself for both Warriors, all pieces in all cases.



Seems like just another case of broken DLC content.

On my 6th playthrough. I get the armor every time. I NEVER get an item set bonus from it.

Looks like we have found DLC problem number 3 then.

Warden Comm. Armor doesnt give its bonus for everyone.

EDIT: Looks like I dont have the bonus on my fourth character.

gawd.. that sux really. i hoped for getting an set bonus, other that blood dragon set.
