No thanks. I'd prefer Dragon Age to remain a fantasy world i can escape to without being ganked, spammed with gold scams, or reading endless "jokes" revolving around combining body parts with items or skills in a chat box.

Dragon Age 3 should be an MMO.
Agreed. Then I'd not have any further doubts about wasting my time with BW games.

After playing the Old Republic no. Bioware can't handle making an MMO at least not a themepark MMO. Story is not more important than content in the mmospace.

No, there are too many MMOs as it is.
Recommend me a good me?
I personally don't like MMPORGS or MMO's or whatever the new acronym is now. However, I've played a few and I can recommend some:
Everyone right now is going bonkers over Eve Online. If you know someone who plays it, they can probably hook you up with a free trial. That one I haven't played, but thought I'd throw it out there.
If you want a Dragon Age type of mmo, try DDO - Dungeons and Dragons Online.
I always liked the Everquest mmos, and Guild Wars was ok though it's more limited. I believe there's a Guild Wars 2 now.
If you want to WAIT a bit, there's an MMO on its way for release called The Secret World. No idea how good/bad it is, but there's a buzz going around about it. I suggest looking up some gameplay trailers for it.
EDIT: But on a personal note, there are way too many MMO's, and they are very unenjoyable unless you have the endless amounts of time to dedicate to meeting up with people you've never met to beat a 2 hour dungeon. Also some MMO's are just so expensive. Others are free, but some you end up paying way more than you should for what you get. Oh and as for me... socializing as part of gameplay... eh... you meet more weirdos/stuck up gamers than anything else.

I will never ever play a DA mmorpg. They ruined Kotor that way, and it will no doubt ruin dragon age as well.

No, but not because have anything against MMO's. I just don't have the time to invest or wish to get sucked into a long term time sink. SP titles I get to see from beginning to end in adequate time of around 30-120 hours but then it's done for upto six months or a year before I consider even playing again.

My opinion on this is altered somewhat since the PAX panel. Hearing Mark say that if there were ever an MMO, it would not replace the single player games, but rather be additional to them I have the following opinion:
I have no particular desire for it, but considering my love of the DA setting and lore, I am not going to pretend I wouldn't play it.

I want a DA menu-style turn-based Journeys-esque tablet RPG.

Absolutely not, but then again i don't want MP tarnishing it either.
Can't we just leave some games SP please? I mean, good god.....not everyone wants MP or MMO status in their games, and i can tell you that adding MP to ME3 was a major turn off for me.

No. I liked what they said at PAX about a Baulders Gate type of experience. I also enjoyed the way shared dialog was done in kotor. But an MMO? No. No nono. I hate all of the stuff that comes with MMOs (pay to play, microtransactions, farming, grinding, stupid people etc etc)

Having been on the mouse-wheel that is World of Warcraft for the last 6 years or so my first reaction to this was 'oh god no, don't even suggest it'.
Having sat back and thought about it though i actually wouldn't hate the idea of seeing the DA world become full scale and playable. With all its races, countries, lore, factions and politics it would actually have a lot of potential but only if it is done right.
They would have to avoid most or all of the existing pitfalls of MMOs to make it work. No end game raiding, faction grinding, gold farming , dungeon grinding or monthly subscriptions. Pack it full of epic quest lines that span across the world and use it as a pre-existing game platform to add new conflicts, stories etc in expansions.
Guild Wars 2 is hoping to move beyond the usual MMO format (although we'll see how that goes once it launches), DA could potentially do the same.

Personally i'm getting disgusted by the sheer amount of single player games looking toward MMO status.
Neverwinter for one.

No I don't want a DA MMO. I also don't think Bioware has any plans for a Dragon Age MMO, since that would compete with SWTOR.
Now if DA where to have a cooperative mutliplayer component like the old Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights games, that I would be fine with.

No! I don't like mmorpg's for one my pc is still from 2004 and second dragon age imo has to stay singleplayer. Imagine thedas overrun by thousands of players. It would be a next blight but without the archdemon and darkspawn who want to destroy everything and everyone who stands in their way.

I like my single player Dragon Age.
But for the sake of the OP, yes, I can see how it could be a fun idea. I think it would be fun to be able to make a a human character from whatever country I want, or an elf, dwarf, or qunari, and run around having adventures and forming friendships and alliances with other players. And then I could go join the Grey Wardens, Templars, a dragon cult, the Crows, or something - have that be my faction.
Maybe someone should just make that MMO with a different IP. Hell, they could even make it a Dragon Age MMO, just as long as the continued making single player Dragon Age as well. But I don't ever want to lose my single player Dragon Age experience.

NEVER!!! Please, just don't do it.
That said I wouldn't care if it was optional, I could pretend it didn't exist if it were optional. But definitely not redesigning the whole game to make it a compulsory online game. For me, this choice would kill DA once and for all.

I think I am very nearly done with MMO games. I like playing with friends, and the Diablo 3 multiplayer is, I think, done pretty well. I have little or no interest in persistent worlds or "end game content," however.
