They're doing their part, keeping enemies off of you while you get the objective.

If only. Most of the times they're rampaging around the map, not caring how the rest of the team is doing and banging themselves headlessly against atlases, banshees and brutes without a hope of surviving. Then the rest of the team has to keep reviving them over and over again, even when there's better things to do than play nurse. <_<

I love HV - my canon Shep is one - think they're great fun to play on Bronze, but really dislike playing alongside them in MP, in general. Bluntly, a HV playing in a dominant fashion, and doing it well, makes the game boring as hell for the rest of the team, with the possible exception of the infiltrator gang. You're reduced to simply cleaning up the edges while the HV has their fun. Cudos to those who play the class in a more co-operative way, they're often great players to play alongside, but basically, it comes down to this - would it kill you to let someone else have some fun, too?

So just one small request to my fellow HV players - at least target the glowing blue mook, you'll make this AA feel at least a little bit useful. ;)

I had the pleasure of playing with a few VGs this weekend on silver. They knew their stuff and didn't spam charge/nova all over the place. They have redeemed their class...slightly.

I'm learning to just avoid Bronze altogether. I used to use it to bring my new recruits to an acceptable level. I just get annoyed.

1st place for me is also the Vanguard, but that's just because I rather have some distance between my enemies.
2nd place goes to the Infiltrator, because I'm not super handy with a Sniper Rifle
3d place goes to the Sentinel because that stupid Tech Armor doesn't really protect anything...

I can't stand being in a group with the GIANT EGO who cries whenever the entire team isn't focused on helping them get more kills with their beloved sniper rifle. They usually cry here on the forums about vanguards.

Rank 4 Tech Armor = The armor's deflection capability is now at maximum, and the armor can channel its energy into biotic amps and weapons, increasing the damage of all your powers.

Kinda nice.

Infiltrators. My human vanguard has just taken a banshee down to the last bar or two of health in about half a minute and is about to finish it of when an infiltrator pops out of nowhere and fires a single bullet, taking it out. This wouldn't be that annoying if not for the suprising amount of times it happens.

I understand the hate for amateur vanguards, but nothing removes heavies faster then a skilled vanguard.

Depends completely upon the player and who the offended person was. Human Vanguards especially seem annoying to many classes- but that's just the way they're built. That said: I often let out a little sigh when that same Krogan guy runs off into the middle of an enemy and goes down every five seconds....again and again. But we all have our learning curves don't we?

The most annoying is definitely Drell Adept. The bugged Reave sound is now a serious pain, I don't understand that one month after release they still haven't managed to fix that issue.

So I'm at the point where I refuse to run any match with a Drell Adept.

Well, first off, this is my first post here, so take it a little easy on me. I really can't say that any class in particular annoys me a great deal, but if I HAD to choose, I'd say, as so many others have, Vanguards.Followed by Krogans, although I can't really say why. I just find the two to be somewhat grating to me.

There is one thing, however, that truly annoys me: when I'm on my Quarian Infiltrator and we come up against Geth, I hate it when as soon as I hit a Prime, Pyro, etc. that's in the middle of a large group with sabotage to try and take some of the "aggro" off of us, the rest of the squad seems to immediately single that on enemy out to kill it right away instead of letting it take out a few of the enemies for us.

better to be a krogan and charge and headbut stuff, much more satifying while in bloodrage.

Why do people assume that all Vanguards are going to charge across the map? Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I'm a Vanguard with only 1 point in Biotic Charge. I spam stasis instead and if nobody detonates then I headshot everything caught in my bubble with a scope-enhanced Paladin.

Having said that... Being the hypocrite that I am, I find Vanguards annoying. I'm not one to complain about "kill-steals" because it's a team game, but it's annoying that I can't hit anything with my sniper rifle because three vanguards are hitting everything that moves. The problem is mine, I guess, I should be playing something that complements vanguards better.

It drives me MAD though when I'm on a Geth map with a Quarian Infiltrator and people immediately kill everything that I sabotage. Instead of killing the rocket trooper while everything else still attacks you, let my sabotaged rocket trooper kill everything FOR you.

A team full of GI's

Why?

Paper, if one breaks the rest breaks

Individual GI is probably my favourite in THE game, 2 mags on my 2nd accounts BW III and byebye primes and brutes (gold)

Everything that is Krogan, because 95 of 100 krogan players think its genious to go all melee on gold and kiss the ground faster than your average Geth Infiltrator. Also, they think inbetween waves they have to headbut everything in their way (ammo boxes, cover, players, each other, thin air, stairs, more ammo boxes, OHSHI--- the wave started already, oh I'm dead) because krogans make such a funny sound and all.

I don't have a problem with Vanguards. They're fine in Single player. What I have a problem with, is that (for multi-player) of all the games I've ever played, Human Vanguards, aka Novaguards, in particular, are the most ridiculously overpowered things I've ever encountered. Seriously: Invincibility+the ability to self-restore shields almost constantly, while wiping out entire mobs of enemies, AND zipping back and forth across the entire map, without any kind of brainpower whatsoever? OVERPOWERED.

These people who get on and say "oh no, they're not overpowered." Just because there is a counter to something, doesn't mean it's not overpowered. And yes, on Gold, maybe they do die more (although they're still pretty ridiculous from what I've seen), but on lower difficulties, they are literally, biotic gods. Novaguards require 0 skill to use whatsoever. And just because "well, you don't have to play a Novaguard" STILL doesn't mean that Novaguards aren't overpowered. A simple solution would be to add a cool down to Nova. This way, Novaguards can do the one thing everyone else in the game has to do: THINK. I know, you'd actually have to think for a change. Oh, the humanity! I've played a Human Vanguard before, and I'm always on the top. Never less than 20k points over second place.  (EDIT To clarify, Bronze and Silver. Gold is too elitest.)Novaguards are overpowered, plain and simple.

Oh, and on a final note, stupidity doesn't count. Just because an idiot vanguard charged a banshee and died, doesn't mean they're not overpowered.

Though I admit, I feel like I just wasted my time, because I foresee some idiot getting on with FAILLogic: "Derp. Novagardz rnt ovurpowurd."

It has to be the vanguards I admit. :/
But whenever I play a class wtih Warp, I try to use it on as many
enemies I can get then I let the vanguard charge in and trigger a biotic explosion. ^_^

It's coop. There's no competition involved.

If a vanguard is warping around wiping out mobs quickly, then the match ends faster, and everyone gets their reward sooner.

I wish they'd remove the scoreboard.

Vanguards are an Adept's best friend. Warp / Reave everything in your sight and watch that living cruise missile creating series upon series of beautiful explosions. They also tend do be pretty awesome at occupying heavies, so that your Infiltrator can line up shot after shot without fearing for retaliation. And in the same time they clear up the rabble that usually accompanies a heavy. I love them, and I love playing them.

If only Reave classes didn't have that annoying sound...

But if nobody else can get any kills, because the Novaguard is face-rolling the entire match, it tends to become less and less fun. >_> Yeah, contrary to popular belief, some of us DO play for fun.

Vanguards

Yesterday on silver we had a N200+ on the team, died 2 times in wave 1, died a dozen times in wave 2, died a couple of times in wave 3 and ofcourse we only revived in wave 1...

Soon after i think the person got the clue we won`t rush into a spawn to revive him as we had a nice overview, unlimited ammo, cover and a 40% bubble, and stayed with us to charge flanking enemies in revive range while shooting at the ones further away:)

Vanguards or any krogan who charges off away from the group and gets killed. I don't revive them.

Well it depends. If its Hacking objective I'll gladly keep mobs busy with Krogan Vanguard and attract fire so rest of the team can freely shoot and hack asap.

In no particular order:

Vanguards who zip off into a crowd to die / are constantly on the other side of the map.

Adepts who don't use their powers / bring heavy weapons.

Sentinels who forget to put their armor on / never use the armor detonation to help them escape a bind.

Infiltrators who don't go for revives or objectives / don't assist with heavier enemies.

Soldiers who don't use their given powers / grenades.

Engineers who try to fight in the front rather than support / don't use their tech abilities.

So, in short... people who don't know what they are doing.
