I think players would name their characters better IF THEY SHOWED UP ON THE BATTLEFIELD.

But all you see is the gamertag. Sad really. Most useless function in a computer game.

I usually pick a theme for each class and name my characters after that. For example, this last soldier group I named, Charles, Foster, Kane, (None), my Vanguards were cities in France, my Sentinels were cities in Africa, my infiltrators were Finnish hockey players, my first set of Sentinels were kingdoms in Dragon Age, my engineers were lead characters from Bioware games (Hawke, Warden, Exile, Revan), latest set of soldiers were assualt mechs from the Mechwarrior franchise. It's fun to pick a theme every time I promote a class.

My Turian soldier, who I have never used, was originally called Garrus' clone.

And today a friend of mine told me that you could, thank the Force, actually change the names of your characters.

So now he has a much better name: "Jedi Sith Yoda".

Cetus and Caestus are my Turians, Garm and Fenris are my Krogan.

My oldest serving original named character is my Turian Sentinel: Koros Olarium. He was my main character during the Demo.
When I finally get my Krogan Soldier back, i'll name him Urdnot Zenuk. Zenuk was my second-main character back in the day. I'm also quite fond of my Salarian Engineer: Sadorn Ignis.

As for the Resurgence characters, i'll probably only use the Geth (they'll become my primary Engineers and Infiltrators).
I'll name my Gethgineer "Engineering Platform/Unit E330" (can't decide whether it should be Platform or Unit).
I'm not sure what to call my Gethfiltrator though. Perhaps "Operative "Lamp-post"", or "Infiltration Platform A196".
