Is there a program or webpage out there that converts words or names into binary? Like let's say I want to name my Geth Eric in binary, that would be cool.

Heh, found a webpage that converts text into binary.

Eric translates to:

which I think would be to long to fit in the space allocated for names.

I would have liked for them to make a Geth soldier (meaning a Geth Prime)
But we got what we go so I think that the best name for a geth would be "Unit" with several random numbers.

Lets say the world of ME was real and sheppard has the Geth working with us, and your unit is assigned a Geth Prime and you start calling it Optimus and he accepts the name. Does he know of the old cartoons as Legion knew of the Bible, and is honored by the name (or pissed as it was a child's toy) or think you're one of the "stupid" humans that can't understand "we are all one" - or is that "till all is one" (pun in tended)

That is if I even name the character. After promoting dozens of characters all that I can bring myself to invest in new names at this point is: 7867, h, or @.

That's in the lobby, I think.  In the game we see the character name, which, now that I think about it is a good thing.  If there wasn't a name above a player geth I would probably waste a LOT of ammo trying to take it down.

Our screennames are shown, but as far as I know, no one can see the names of your characters.
