So does anyone else feel sorry for the Indoctrination Theorists?

IT theorists came up with something that was much more plausible than taking the ending at face value. They are the ones who didn't think the quality of writing could plummet so drastically at the end (and they made a reasonably convincing case).

The IT hasn't been completely knocked on the head but I felt that the tone was rather more against it than otherwise.

I didn't think they actually confirmed it all as guff. They said they'd "let the DLC talk for itself" and that they couldn't really talk about it. They asked for questions on it. I'm not being all desperate and clinging to that idea or anything, I'm not bothered, just being factual.

The IT theorists are our optimists who still believe the ending can be fixed. I envy them.

Oh my god, I always have. From day one.

It's like down syndrome. You want to believe that they are capable of leading fulfilling lives, but it's hard to ignore the cruelty nature has inflicted on them.

Holy crap you are a bastard.  No you are worse than that.  You are the scum that a bastard wipes off their shoes.

DO NOT INSULT PEOPLE WITH DOWN'S SYNDROME.

How is what Mickey said an insult to people with Down's Syndrome?! Seems more like pity to me.

Indoc Theorists are people willing to give BioWare the benefit of doubt until they themselves make a confirming statement.

IT theorists are bigger fans of the game than you will ever be.

I'm afraid this sums it up pretty succinctly.

I work with people with Down's Syndrome and to regard them with pity is insulting.  They are perfectly capable of everything they set their minds to.  I pity Mickey to be honest.  Hard to change the rot inside.

I'm glad they're not going for the cloud sourced ending a lot people seem to want. If they did it at this point though I wouldn't need the DLC, because I've read every single theory and supposed story element that relates to the theory, and that would suck. I'd like to be a little bit surprised, otherwise what's the point?

I personally feel sorry for pretty much everyone who spent 5 years working and waiting for the ending to get this piece of crap.

Given Bioware's history recent PR speak I still think anything is possible. I can't feel sorry for anyone in perticular at the moment since there are still outcomes that they left the door open for.
Most of them are unrealistic but until we know I can just feel bad on my own behalf for being gullable enough to have bought the game day1. Atleast I didn't hand the extra DLC cash over and man am I glad I still have those measly 10$.
Only small victory I have from this enterprise. That and managing to finally being able decide whether I would wait for Swtor to pick up pace or put it aside.

Of course there's going to be no gameplay, that would mean having to bring back the voice actors. They'd rather take the lazy route. Just like they already did with the current ending.

Sigh.

Bioware had artistic integrity once.

Um...they ARE bringing in the voice actors. This does not mean there will be gameplay (Though when someone asked if there would be gameplay they refused to comment) but it also means they are not going to do a text crawl like they did with DA:2

Misguided pity is still pity, whereas you lot are slinging pure hate and bile back at someone you've never met. I'd say most of you are just as bad if not worse.

Stuff like this just makes me say no.  When people start talking about what makes a true fan, a good fan, or who is a bigger fan than whom it just rubs me the wrong way.

I just feel more sorry for the IT folks as they seem determined to hold onto faith in Bioware's writing until it is absolutely not viable under even the most generous interpretation of the facts.

Which means the crash, when it comes, will be even harder.

They did say that it would be more than just a few cinematics.

I'm going to assume you're addressing me here.

Okay maybe the rot thing was out of order.  I apologise.  But that certainly wasn't pity from Mickey.  He's not misguided he's at best rude and at worst openly malicious.

You should see the talk in the IT-related threads, then.

Some theorists are calling out the people who no longer believe in the IT as "fair-weather" or not TRUE believers, as if this was a test of faith.

Sad, scary, but, really, pretty hilarious.

Theres alot of stuff I have thought of that I have not seen any other IT come up with. I am still sure there are room for surprises.

I have no problem with someone who still thinks the ME3 ending is a work of genius describing themselves as more of a fan than me.

I think it is really bad. I am less of a fan of Bioware and the ME series as a result.

We can use the same line of logic that many Hold the Liners are complaining that they lied about the ending.

So now they can expect honesty?  Which is it?

Don't be ridiculous. If you're not for IT, it's your choice. I can only point you to YouTube. What you think is all up to you.

It's kind of sad that Bioware accidentally included so much evidence supporting IT when the didn't mean too then again our brains are meant to see patterns.
