So whos done with BW and EA now? You know sell all your BW games never touch another one. Because right now it sure as hell looks like a good idea.
But EA? People lay far too much blame on them. I'm not defending them, per se. But people give them way too much credit.
If some crappy author was signed by TOR books, would you refuse to ever buy another book published by them? They do have a hand in the author's story, after all.

ME3 was great with an ending that left some to be desired. Why are you all so intent on getting revenge on Bioware/EA for giving you a single, controversial game. For Christ sake it's like 60 bucks - you pay double that a month on car insurance. Go get mad at them.

Not about the ending mind you, that aborted mess seems to be beyond repair.
But letting go of the trust and faith in Bioware, the cracks began to show some time ago, and are simply impossible to ignore anymore, will have another look at the game "later this summer" but for now, pfft, not worth the headache, peace.

Oh shut the fuk the up. I mean really, all your post did was insult people, how about you quit being a condescending jackass and leave this thread alone?
P.S. ME3 as a whole was a let down and was nowhere near the quality of the first 2 games. It was obvously rushed and there were many instances where it was just lazy writing and game design. We have every right to be pissed off at Bioware/EA, they promised us certain aspects in a product that made us want to buy it and it turned out most of those promises were complete lies. And you seem to be a pretty self-entitled guy so you must be at least middle class, but 60$ is alot to some people. We were invested in this universe and it's characters, we went through three games and DLC and all for what?

You might want to read over this little gem of information. If you still don't understand, wait until you get into college and ask some of the business students about False Advertising and ask the creative writing students about Narrative Cohesion.Topographer wrote...

I still have hope for DLC. I know it won't fix the endings, but it might explain enough to make them at least bearable. I'm not optimistic but am willing to give them the chance.
That said, my trust in Bioware as a consumer has been permanently damaged. Does that mean I won't ever buy another one of their games? Maybe, although probably not. It does mean that I have lost respect for them as a company and whether or not that will have any kind of financial effect, only time can really tell.
Agree completely. Regardless of what BioWare said when all the flak about the endings erupted I honestly (really, truly) believed that the endings as they stand now were not the intended endings. NO WAY could BioWare (my auto-buy-spend-$80-on-a-collector's edition) throw out all logic and sense in the totally non-sensical ending.
NO WAY. We are totally going to have a laugh over the whole thing when the "real" endings are revealed. And then, I'll chide myself for ever doubting them. I mean I know they're saying "blah, blah, blah artistic vision..." but that's just a cover...the ending clearly makes NO SENSE!
How hard is it to write:
Shepard lives, reapers destroyed
Shepard dies, reapers destroyed,
Shepard lives, companions die, reapers destroyed
Shepard dies, reapers win?
.....All based on your previous decisions?
Ooh! That's not "artistic enough". I've got to have magical kids and disappearing companions....and why don't I throw in a unicorn riding a green, blue and red rainbow while I'm at it?
I won't say I'll never buy anything from them again, but I can say they are no longer an auto-buy for me.
(I guess I'm too plebian to enjoy their "art)

I wanted better writing.
Until I get that, I'm done giving any money to Bioware (it's the only EA developer that I've stayed with this long).

Not done, see my sig, I'll give it till summer and try out the free extended DLC, you can never really go wrong with free, then I'll decide on whether I spend more cash on EA/Bioware products, but I definitely won't be spending a single penny until then.
You good poster are a hypocrite. For all the crying you have done of the forums about how abysmal the ending is and how horrific bioware is for not giving you what you want you are actually going to sit there and say you will give a reprive?
Whats the matter? You can't stick to your guns since Bioware isn't caving into your irrational behaviour?

Until the extended cut is released, I'm not going anywhere. I continue to refuse to purchase EA/BioWare or franchise-related products until the issues with the end have been addressed. I will only reevaluate that position once the DLC is released and can be reviewed. I have no current plans to invest in this franchise in the future regardless.
The Dragon Age team could not pay to get rid of me, although I won't be picking anything DA-related up until the extended cut is released, as above.

As for Bioware, I wouldn't say that I'm done with them. With me, they've created two problems. Number one: the ending to ME3 left me feeling like all of the time and imagination I invested into the series was pointless. In turn, that feeling has taken all of my interest and motivation away to ever play the series again. I loved it, it was fun to play, I just feel no reason to play it anymore now. So their problem is that they want to sell me DLC, and I have no interest in playing DLC, let alone buying it.
And number two: I used to buy Bioware games sight unseen. But now, after I hated DA2, and how I hated how ME came to an end, I'm no longer going to buy Bioware games on impulse. Now I'm going to read user reviews before dropping a dime.

It's a little hard to be done with EA, considering they have a monopoly in the industry. It seems like everything on the damn shelf has a %^@% EA logo on it. But I'd love to be done with them. I've had contempt and disdain for that company and their business practices since the early 00's.
