But EA? People lay far too much blame on them. I'm not defending them, per se. But people give them way too much credit.
If some crappy author was signed by TOR books, would you refuse to ever buy another book published by them? They do have a hand in the author's story, after all.
Given what was said at PAX, I seriously believe that "someone" was putting serious pressure on Bioware to release the game sooner, rather than later. I would imagine it went something like this (EA to Hudson) "Hudson, we've already delayed release once, we need this game out asap to boost earnings. Get it done or you wont get your bonus!"
My point being that Bioware has a record of some really good games and EA has a record of rushing it's projects. I am inclined to believe that a) Bioware bit off more than it could chew with all the variables and a promised multifaceted ending &
As for my dedication to Bioware, I still hold out a little hope that the "real" endings are coming, but at this point I would be satisfied to have an ending that allows me to play any of the games again without the strong desire to puke. If any "clarification" dlc doesnt do at least that, I will not preorder another EA game ever, ever again.

Eeyup. Though I'm not selling them. I will hold onto my games as a memorial to what Bioware used to be.
Pretty much this, I mean if you dont even have the courage to stand up to your fans at PAX then that's just sad.

I'll watch the new cut scenes on youtube if I think about it, but as for anything else I'm out.
Good luck all.

So whos done with BW and EA now? You know sell all your BW games never touch another one. Because right now it sure as hell looks like a good idea.
I'm less likely to buy BW from here on out without a lot of fan input after release, epsecially if the ending DLC doesn't work for me when it comes out, but my Baldur's Gate games are not going anywhere except on my shelf where they belong,

Fans: We want more closure at the end of the game.
Bioware: We are listening to all feedback
Fans: We want it to be free DLC!
Bioware: We are releasing Extended cut DLC for free which will give you all more closure, it will be released in the summer and it will be free!
Some Fans: NOPE! I'm done
Why don't you just wait until the DLC, then leave if you are not still not happy by then, I will even join you

If the extended ending actually makes me happy (IT can still be incorporated at this point), maybe I'll consider some ME3 DLC, but no more future games from Bioware for me, that's a fact. Dragon Age died with DA2 as far as I'm concerned, and I have no interest of any more ME games. Wasteland 2 will be my most anticipated RPG for next year.

Actually we very clearly said we don't want closure, we just want them to make our choices matter, and for their promises to be valid.
They gave us closure instead and ignored their lies.
False advertising is illegal, I hope to hell the FTC investigation ends up fining them.

Anyway, I was always in it for Mass Effect. All things considered, I'm probably done with them. I don't hate the ending all that much (it has its problems, but hopefully the EC dlc will fix my issues), but the way Bioware is responding to all this is not endearing at all. Between all this "artistic integrity" spiel and what comes across as thinly veiled insults in the few PR statements they've made and all that

I'll wait for the DLC. I'll download and play the DLC. If I feel like there is a purpose to playing the game and making choices then I will. If not, I'll uninstall all three games for HD space, and bar an exceptionally good DA3 (probably not happening with EA) or a new really good series (definitely not happening with EA), I won't give BioWare another penny.
EA?
As much as I hate them, I know one of the many groups they enslave will develop something fun and I'll buy it.

You forgot "Relays make the ME universe", "No variety in the endings", "False advertising", "Plot holes galore!", and "Why is Shepard entirely screwed" and "Why can't Shepard just say no" and "Where do our EMS come in?"

But... like so many others, I am so emotionally invested in Mass Effect, that even when theres no hope, we still hope that maybe, somehow, it will be fixed and so we keep coming here.

How do you know your choice won't matter with the DLC? Would you rather we had nothing at all? I wanted a choice to have a happy ending and I think they can even manage that with this DLC, have a little faith. Also please don't get me started on how stupid the FTC thing is.

IF i hear that DA3 is good i will rent or get used
(and i NEVER get games used)
i was willing to let DA2 pass as a test to get more sales but after ME3 and the way they treat the fans i will not give them any cash

I love how you people, who are actually the vocal minority now, are all leaving the forums because people are calling you out for being whining A-holes.
Just saying.

Some of these could be answered in the DLC, look I wasn't very happy with the ending either, I thought they were really stupid and made no sense, while this DLC might not give us everything we want, it gives us something please I know it's hard but have a little faith.

I'll wait until the ending DLC comes and then make up my mind.....i'm not optimistic though....but it is possible they could fix this mess.
If it doesn't well then i'm done with Bioware.
They've insulted the ME series, the fans and frankly their own artistic "integrity" with that incompetent ****** of an ending and PR bs.
In the end I truly hope they reap what they've sown.

For bioware? I don't know. We'll see. But i think ME3 was the last game i pre-ordered.

First off, the FTC was created solely for the purpose of investigating trade and advertising illegalities. So we're letting them do their damn job.
As for their things... there is no way 42 plot holes will be resolved by modifying the ending scenes... because that doesn't fix the ending level, the final level, the intertwined links that are illogical and plot-hole filled, or the fact we were ****ING LIED TO.
