Just a quick goodbye from me yes I'm done.

We can't win this and much as I'm glad they are doing something this dlc doesnt make up for lying to us. Weird thing was a I would just accepted an apology.

Anyway you lot have been awesome, these forums have been more fun than the game.

Done with EA. Ruined too much for me. Took me awhile to accept the "improvements" of ME2 over ME1, and the "artistic integrity" line they are forcing in regards to ME3 has soured me completely. Honestly, how do you defend the ending and Tali's face? I'd turn in the whole trilogy if it wasn't PC based.

Done with BioWare until enough of major players close shop and re-open as a new studio out from under the thumb of a megacorp. Another year - or two - of development for ME3 wouldn't have bothered me. A video game trilogy should take longer to produce/release than a film trilogy.

Since bioware has given the customer the big FU via artist integrity. I'm done with them. Their lying is just a daily event now.

Their decision to not make KotOR 2 made me wonder what going on...
The cliche ridden and poorly written DA:O made me question Bioware's integrity.
Their announcement and creation of KotOR MMO instead of KotOR3 made me question their integrity further.
The utter failure of DA2 made me seriously wonder if they were losing it.
Only the excellence of ME2 convinced me to purchase ME3 and now...I am one hundred percent positive that Bioware's best work is done and over with.

They are beginning their long descent into darkness.

interesting observation though quite flawed. Every game you mentioned has won awards for its excellence. Perhaps you just don't have an eye for quality

You're not a very good troll brah.

not mirin

Maybe that has something to do with me not being one? oh wait, we don't agree so I have to be one I forgot the rules of Retake lol

You dwell on forums spewing hate to the company you sit in the forums of.. then you call others trolls. need a mirror?

As did EA and Bioware. Guess who won? Deprive yourself of happiness and a life staying here.. you are the only one ruining your 'ending'

I'm def. not done. I love BW, and I love them even more for giving free stuff. Free dollars is always good. They aren't changing the endings, which is good as well, just clarifying for those that didn't understand.

I'm looking forward to DA3, especially if what I heard was true and the Warden is back!

I do, however, find it funny that people whined and moaned about how they want the DLC to be free, and it is, and they're still complaining about it. But you know almost all of them will still download it.

When the Witcher 2 Dark Edition hits my XBox 360 on April 17-18 or so, my interest in Bioware's BS PR claims will wain. Whether or not I play ME3 after that will largely depend on my enjoyment of the Witcher 2. Most likely, I will view spoilers for the extended ending before expending any actual emotional energy or commitment to play it again. I will keep the game though, just in case.

I will DEFINITELY hold off on DA3 until I hear from fans, NOT from biased gamer studios, who clearly post their reviews prior to finishing the games.

Even then I might not bite if a cool Skyrim DLC comes out.  As sad as it is to say, quite clearly Bethesda now has my heart and soul.  Bioware has been relegated to a standby, assuming nothing else looks appealing.

My sentiments exactly... very, very slim hope.

Yes I'm done. The only game I sold back was ME3 after i completed it and lurked here for a week to see what was up. I like Mass Effect 1&2, DA:O and KOTOR too much to sell them but I can promise never to buy from either company again. There will be no "reserving final judgment after dlc". They lied, then lied some more, called us too ignorant to get it, then lied again. They get nothing from me. I only keep lurking because I'm still in denial that a company that was so good could fall from grace so quickly. Just a few more weeks...

Well that's good for you. I like judging a game for myself, and not base it on reviews. I would have missed some awesome games if I just listened to fan/pro reviews and not taken the plunge.

Let me get my closure, no matter how paper thin it may be, then I'll be done. Its a shame I have to eat the free bread when I paid for a juicy delicious steak that they advertised. Pro-Bioware/Enders, everyone has a right to post on these forums. Calling us whiny six year old kids isn't going to change that. Hack it out.

I'm not buying Bioware games again since i just read their announcement about not adding any new endings. I completely hated the endings and dont like them AT ALL. I dont want closure or more info about the endings, i wanted something different. I wanted my choices to matter. Since Bioware isnt going give that then i'm done with them.

If Bioware thinks that they are going to be fine with this choice then so be it. They can do what they want.

If Bioware wants to put aside their artistic integrity long enough to engage in some everyday simple integrity and make good on the representations made about ME3 then I will consider purchasing future Bioware/EA products (though never a pre-order ever again, and never a download purchase as EA is still refusing to accept returns on download purchases).

To be clear, we were told that ME3 would be a unique experience and would be significantly impacted by our decisions from ME1/ME2.  This is simply untrue.  ME3 was completely linear with prior decisions doing little more than changing the names of the NPCs in the quests and minor differences in the resulting Total Military Strength.  The only impact of TMS was to compute EMS which in turn decides which final video one sees  There was no in-game impact.  Furthermore, looking at the final EMS tables that compute that final video and looking at the GWA's that one can always acquire in ME3 irrespective of ME1/ME2 plus the impact of the ME3 MP module, one can show that irrespective of what one did in ME1/ME2 one can hit each and every possible final result using nothing but the ME3 choices and invariant GWA's.  The decisions from ME1/ME2 are provably irrelevant to determining which final video one sees in ME3.

Even if Bioware eventually drops the prideful behavior and fixes ME3, I doubt I will ever buy a game that Mr Hudson is involved in again as he is clearly more in love with himself than his customers and clearly has no concept of what makes a good RPG game.

Ha ha --- yeah...their liestning to the fans for DA3... I am sure they are.

Pass.

I wager if you wait a good week or 2 weeks, DA3 will drop a good 20.00 bucks from not learning the last time --- as usual.

I'm giving BW the benefit of the doubt. It seems that they told their EA superiors to shove off, I don't think EA would allow this much free content willingly. This might be a sign of Bioware "assuming direct control".
Keep this in mind.
The Bioware founders make money to make games.
The EA founders make games to make money.

Look up the differences on how the two started, different philosophies.
These two actions are starting to look like the 3(?) medical doctors who pooled money to start a game company.

The free extended ending DLC by itself is not that impressive, the fact that they are giving away the Resurgence pack before the extended ending for free is what is encouraging to me.
Instead of waiting after the extended ending DLC then selling the Resurgence pack, they give it out, they throw away the potential revenue to attempt to bandage relations with the fans.
Doesn't sound like an EA decision to me, sounds a bit more like the old Bioware.
Acknowledge the gesture for what it is: an apology of sorts. Acknowledge, and think about it.

Do not stop letting your views be heard, but give them the benefit of the doubt. They have a chance to salvage this, continue giving feedback and ideas on how to make it count.

Extended could mean many things, including Shepard reunited with crew (That's not technically changing, thats extending)
The wording is somewhat loose, use it. Ask them to use it well.

Don't give up: Hold the line/wallet. EA will not get any more money from me until I can play the ending without feeling nauseous. I am willing to see how they extend the ending, they may surprise me.
And I am no longer preordering ANYTHING with an EA label. Unfortunately, BW, that means you too.

And calm down about it, people. I hate the ending as vehemently, if not more, as most of you. No one takes anonymous rage and trashing seriously. And being uncivil is no way to get things done, some of what is posted here and what is posted to BW developers makes me sick: such actions belittle our ideals, doesn't promote them.
Be reasonable.

Look, they are addressing the issues we've raised. True, they aren't going far enough, in my opinion, but they've taken a step in the right direction. This is a victory. We've held the line and EA/Bioware is working on the problem. They are watching us to see if we are satisfied with this, they've said so and by releasing the Extended Cut they've shown to be doing exactly that. They are going to give us closure.

Unfortunately, the ending as it is, stays, according to their press release. Which is why many feel that they haven't listened, that they don't care, that we failed. But I couldn't disagree more.

The Extended Cut is a work in progress and if we make it clear that it should be the basis of a proper ending, then EA/Bioware may be persuaded to do so. They have a vested interest in keeping their core fanbase on board and the franchise alive.

Don't loose hope now! Hold the line! Make your voice heard! We've won a battle, but not yet the war, although I don't like what that implies, that is what we're dealing with here. We're halfway to our goal, we need to keep our spirits up!

nah...
I think its clear that direction from TOP is to focus on MP. try to copy that CoD sales no. and fan base.
Company as a whole can only follow direction from TOP. some direction will bring them to greatness, some will drive them to the grave. Such is business world in capitalist system.

I'm not done. After finishing ME3 on the xbox, I've bougtht all the games on the PC for a new playthough of the series in high-res and with higher fps. And since I didn't get any of the DLCs when I played the games on xbox, I figured it's time I get those as well for my playthrough on the pc. The reason I ended up browsing these forums was actually that I was downloading Lair of the Shadowbroker & the arrival (already got Kasumi a couple of days ago).

Even if I had hated the ending (which I didn't) it wouldn't be enough for me to turn my back on the studio that has delivered several of my favorite games of all times.

I absolutely hated the FFXIII-2 ending, but that doesn't mean I'll never look at a game from Square Enix for the rest of my life.

I serioulsy can't wait.  Skyrim had enough diversity that for each character you wanted to try there were enough side missions that you could do different, related ones with each of your characters.  Truly great great stuff!

And I absolutely loved the dwarven halls.  I want to see a DLC where some of the dwarves survived.
