I personally thought at the semi end at the raid of the Cerberus, Kai Lengs battle was a major let down. face it the guy was a chicken , loved that battle music going on during the battle!!!! it reminded me a bit of ME1 music back <3

Thoughts anyone? or different scene you personally liked more?:D

It would have been awesome... if Kai Leng himself wasn't so cliche. It's like he's straight out of Generic Capcom Game or something. And it's only if you completely suck or go out of your way to meet the criteria that he actually is effectual at anything outside of Cutscene Power To The Max on his part or Cutscene Incompetence on Shep's part. I was completely spanking the pansy on Thessia before "Oh! I win!" occurred.

By all rights, he should be dead on Thessia from the whomping I and probably most of us can give him.  But nope, he wins regardless.

That said, as a Vanguard, the omniblade stabbing was unsatisfying. I need to deconstitute his head.

It's a vanguard/shotgun thing. You wouldn't understand.

Everything with dealing with Cerberus in ME3 was cliche and weak including Kai Leng.

his move was clumsy at best. wasn't he supposed to be swift and deadly? he just spent most of his time in my game flipping around. and I'm not joking. Even his running was just painfully slow.

but the battle is amusing. The VS. Thane should have been a bit longer though.

He was a better character in the novels (not in deception).

You have to admit, charging bosses to watch them run away is incredibly satisfying. As was parrying the sword with your claymore -- which I hope you modded to have the giant spike on it.

He was a cliche villain.
In cutscenes he was Jesus.(unless you break his sword)
In-game he was so easy that it's a joke.

Sorry the boss fight over Overload him until he runs away and charges up while i destroy his minions was not very exciting. His only skill in the game was "use my powers of cutscene to mess with Shep." Also his other skill was "send troll email."

Seriously that boss fight was a joke one i killed his shield for good he went down in about 2 seconds.

Unless you're in The Matrix, you don't bring knives to a gun fight. Sure, giving the Asian a Katana was sorta cool at first, but it just made absolutely no sense in context. It's not a sword, it's a Katana. Yes, there is a significant difference /petpeeve/

I'm not really bothered by Leng, though. They could've done a lot more with him, but it's nothing game breaking to me. I do wish I could've offered him some cereal... Maybe he'd like Toasted Wheaties?

I just wish I could make my omnitool look like a giant toothbrush for that final renegade option bit.

...Okay, if that's a reference to something, I clearly missed the memo. Toothbrush?

It was alright, but considering how I approached it, it sucked. I played as a Vanguard, carrying a Katana, Carnifex (sp?) and a Tempest, yet I achieve a %200 Power cool down bonus, so I just used the all powerful combination of charge/nova and spammed the hell out of it on Insanity. lol epic win.

They stole his plot from a kung fu movie. Which isn't entirely bad, but the whole plot really, really fails

I thought his fight was OK and the finale was fun(if horribly cheesy). It wasn't a really hard fight, but it was interesting and a bit different, so I liked it.    Way more interesting than "dodge the deth ray 3 times" or "shoot the maureder in the face"; at least it was an actual fight.

Kai Leng is the very definition of letdown, he should be added as a synonym for it on the dictionary

I had a more difficulty dealing with the regular phantoms than him

first off, kai leng was a ****, he seems to me like a glorified chicken trying to poke shepard to death with its beak. all he does is run, and IF he ever gets close enough all you have to do is drop and roll and BAMM youre far enough away to give him some shotgun pellets without any danger

EDIT: just fyi, the word i used for him starts with p, ends with y and is analogous to wimp

secondly, if you look close enough, kai lengs sword is NOT a katana but rather a ninjato, notice the sword is not curved in any way. just like every phantom sword btw.

Having a sword and being quite agile  is alright within the Mass Effect but having other abilities is important.

For Example, Remember all of those Ammo types. Use them to enchance Kai Leng's sword. Also having Kai Leng to have more biotic and tech abilities.

Kai Leng as a Melee mirror of Shepard, he should be.  Kai Leng is an N7 solider like Shepard. All N7 Soliders are badasses. So Should Kai Leng be more of a badass.

Mass Effect 3 has a lot of problems due to its storyline. Gameplay, Weapons and Armor I am loving Mass Effect 3 a lot.

Poorly written, overdesigned, lazily implemented POS. In the novels and in the games, he was just a waste of space.

Kai Leng, as a character, failed to impress. As a boss fight, it was a bit annoying but not much of a letdown. When has Mass Effect every had a good boss fight? Vasir was pretty cool, and Shadow Broker was ok I guess? That's about it?

In the Mass Effect story that we refuse to accept as canon due to the horendous lore errors and and horrible writing, someone who is not Kai Leng shanks someone who is not Gillian Grayson with a toothbrush.

For all his cybernetic implants and enhancements I still only saw 'that unrealistically invincible guy with the sword'. I found him extremely annoying amongst all other things. He was nowhere near as powerful as the games lore depicted him. I found it annoying how he just stood out in the open all the time and never actually took cover in the cutscenes - He would always put up a biotic barrier. He could also break\\destroy anything with his unbreakable sword. Lastly in firefights it was annoying how he jumped all over the place.

I think bioware could of done a better job with him, but despite all his faults I think they chose the right character.
