Yes, with a few tweaks. Sharpen up some of the textures, get rid of those elevator loading sequences, tighten up the combat.

Mass Effect with Mass Effect 3's combat? My Xbox wouldn't be able to load that much awesome.

A few weeks ago I'ld have said yes. Hell, I can easily imagine that I'ld have ordered a Collectors Edition. Now? Not really... The series died for me when spacekid appeared, offered three choices that all felt wrong for all my Shepards and blew the galaxy with relay explosions to stardust...

I'ld be only interested if the Extended Cut saves the ending for me. But I doubt this will happen...

Only if they update the combat. The lastest Halo upgrade missed a huge opportunity by keeping the combat the same as the original.

I would get behind this. Especially after playing the redone Halo1 which looked a million times better.  I am aware it's only a 5 year diffrence in this case instead of 10....

No game is perfect, but I rather have ME1 like it is now than a ME2-like streamlined version of it. So, no.

Leave the classics alone.

I sure would. ^_^

But I'm content with my original copy.

I wouldn't.  I love Mass Effect for what it is.  It has its combat quirks, but I love that it has an actual inventory system, that you can buy and sell stuff (sure, the economy is completely broken, but still), and stuff like that.  If Bioware "remastered" Mass Effect, they'd probably remove a lot of the stuff that makes ME different from ME2 and ME3, for better AND for worse.  Mass Effect has its flaws, but that hasn't kept me from beating it 7 times and counting.  It's a wonderful game.

ME3 ending ruins the trilogy.

It's not like ME1 sucks so hard that it really needs an update. Sure, it'd be a better game if they yanked the inventory and combat in favor of ME2's systems, but it's OK as is.

I'd be interested in updated visuals and improved gameplay at some point possibly.

Mass Effect 1 is perfect as it is as far as I'm concerned. The mood in ME1 was great, the characters were great, the story was great, the gameplay was crappy, but Mass Effect 3 isn't all there either. What Mass Effect 1 got right, Mass Effect 2/3 got wrong and vice versa. I'm still pissed about the little things missing in ME3 like crouch button, separate interact button as opposed to space for everything, maping guns to individual buttons like it is with the powers, HOLSTER button (yes ME3 you suck cause of the no holster button thing ), inventory, mission logs, exploring planets (I know there was the same crappy base on every planet with a retexture but it's still better than the N7 missions in ME3 at least, ME2's N7 missions were partially ok). I would like a remastered Mass Effect 3 to be honest and only because of the... you know what. Wish vehicles were in ME3. Would've loved to shoot some reaper forces while driving the Mako or Hammerhead or Grizzly or whatever. If Mass Effect 1 would be remastered, only 1 thing should be changed and that is the gameplay, all the rest, including planet exploration, Mako hell even the textures should remain the same (ME1 had beautiful environments as I recall and after playing it recently it's still a beautiful game graphics wise).
