First off all my appologies to those who I was playing with, unfortunately no idea who they were as I don't usually keep track of people's names unless they're afk, rude or very rarely exceptional bad.
There was nothing wrong with my connection on the internet whatsoever and then suddenly boom with 5 seconds to go, my connection to the EA servers went boom boom! I seen it happen to other people a few times yesterday and thought it must be just them lagging very badily at a bad time, but right now seeing it happen to myself, I don't think it's an ISP issue.
My concern is neither connectivity to the EA server nor other people's (and indeed my) internet stability, but the fact when you get to final wave waiting for extraction that when the host disconnects, everyone effectively loses the time they put in be it 15 to 30+ minutes depending on difficulty. When this happens more than once it's gonna cause no end of frustration, especially if you are close to completing a silver or gold difficulty mission (maybe for the first time). When it happens more than once, you slowly lose the desire to play this.
EA/Bioware needs to add wave markers so progress is tracked through certain waves, such that when a host does disconnect for whatever reason, people still get rewarded for the phases they have got through, maybe markers the end of wave 3, 6 and 9. This would certainly help allievate a lot of discontent if the host for whatever reason loses connection on the last wave or after significant progress through a match
Again, I would to appologies to the group I was just with, no idea who you were. My net connection was fine, just no idea why I lose connection to EA
Hosting and I lose connection 5 seconds before dustoff!
