Just unlocked the Salarian Infiltrator so I will definately be testing out my snipers now. So far I have a mantis IX, Valiant I, Widow I. Just wondering what you guys have.

I've got Raptor X, Viper X, Mantis X, Incisor X, Javelin I, and Widow VI.

Widow is my favorite. Might change my mind once I get the Black Widow.

I have a black widow V, Widow X, and viper X.
I've seen people use valiant but I don't own one.

Personally I don't like the Widow, because the ability to down big boss monsters isn't all that important in the grand scheme of things.

Although it's not actually a sniper rifle, I like the Carnifex X the best, more than any sniper rifles I own.
with a scope you can essentially use it as a sniper rifle.

What I'd consider using on my salarian infiltrator second to carnifex, would be black widow, crusader, or a valiant if I had one.

I play as salarian infiltrator and I have widow VI and Javelin I. Oh those two, I keep using the widow. I do have a bunch of other sniper rifles but I don't use them. Now if I could only get that darn valiant...

I got Widow X, Viper X, Raptor X, Incisor X and Mantis X. Mostly i use Widow X (on gold sometimes i go for Viper X)

The Jav is the most fun I've had in while. Level 5 barrel+Level 5 Piercing.
I can shoot enemies clear trough walls.

I have Mantis X, Raptor IX, Incisor X, Viper VIII, Widow I and Valiant I.

I used the Mantis quite a bit before unlocking other rifles. It's a solid gun, although not a favourite of mine. Out of the uncommon ones, Viper is definitely my favourite, and once I got it to about level V, I used it almost exclusively. It's not terribly powerful, but it suits my playstyle very well (on Bronze and Silver). I would use the Widow more, but on level one it's terribly heavy. And now that I unlocked the Valiant, I'm utterly in love with it. It's both fast and powerful, so pretty much everything I need. I'm curious about how much I'd like the Black Widow, but I haven't unlocked it yet.

The Black Widow is beast, but generally i only give it to infiltrators and salarians, i tried the Javelin and so far only on the Quarian infiltrator worked maybe with the geth it will shine. The Mantis is cool, but i stopped using it long a go, the same goes for the Widow. The Incisor and the Raptor shine on human and turian soldiers and the viper is good with any class.

The Valiant, so far ive tested it with every class and its surprisingly good despite being low level. I wont use it until i have it above V but for silver and bronze matches is a good choice.

this one its not a sniper rifle but the Saber VII with can be better than most snipers.

I prefer my Widow II. Mantis X is lighter and may be close to doing the same amount of damage as Widow II, but nope. The little perks make he happies.

I am sad I lack a Valiant and Black Widow, though. :C

As for my favorite Infiltrator?  Salarian.

All sniper rifles at X except Valiant, Javelin and Black Widow. Haven't been lucky enough to unlock those three. I mainly use Widow X on my salarian infiltrator. Who doesn't love 33 widow bullets . With salarian operative rank4 & 6 for decreased weapon weight cooldown on tact cloak is 4.08 seconds (+90% power recharge). 4.55 seconds (+65% power recharge) with Widow X + Phalanx X.

I have unlocked every Sniper rifle at least once, except for Widow and Javelin, and I have "tested" them several times.

I always believed the Black Widow would be the best sniper rifle for Infiltrator class. However it has several drawbacks that are more marked in Multiplayer where you don't have the time dilation, thus the increased accuracy, featured in single player.

Black Widow has a significant  "muzzle rise" ( in very simple words: the elevation of the muzzle end of the firearm after firing).
This trait can make a little more difficult to land consecutive headshots on moving targets.

Beside a level I or II Black Widow will reduce your cool down bonus. If you carry only the BW you have, if I'm not mistaken, a +16/19% cool down bonus (depending on the passive powers you selected).

A Valiant gives you (once more if I'm not mistake) between 60/85%. Viper should be ever lighetr.
With the Valiant I have no problem to deliver consecutive head shots to moving targets.
It's quite time since the last time I used the Viper. I'll play it again soon.

In the end the choice depends on your play style. If the BW traits are compatible with your own play style, it is a wonderful weapon.
If you prefer a "faster" sniper rifle, with reduced "muzzle rise" the Valiant is perfect.

Personally I tend to have the same performances with both of them; so I tend to use Valiant because it's lighter and possesses a reduced muzzle rise.

Just a personal note: Cryo blast is very useful to slow your opponets and giving you an increased "accuracy". However an efficient use of powers requires a good cool down bonus. However even the BW should allow you to use them properly.

Black Widow is the best weapon in the game. Until you get one I'd take the Valiant. Wouldn't recomend 1shot snipers for Gold because there is not bleedthrough damage. If you play Bronze or Silver... well it doesn't matter because you might as well melee every enemy to death on those difficulties.
