Doesn't do you any good on enemies that you can't fully drain like Phantoms for example. You use Energy Drain and she has still barriers left and when you shoot she will be at full health after the shot no matter how strong that 1shot sniper rifle is. With a Black Widow it's 2 shots and you have a dead Phantom and 1 shot left for another enemy.
Or you can drain someone first, then kill him and have 2 shots left after that for another enemy with shields.

I have a Widow III and Javelin I. No Black Widow yet. Reading the threads, the Widow might be better, but I still love the Javelin. It's much more fun.

I love shooting through walls at hiding Phantoms and Nemesis, and being the only one in the team still headshotting when there's a smoke grenade. Also, the sound is cool, and there's a bit of a show-off aspect as it's so rare (guilty pleasure). It's unique, and that's awesome.

But if the mook is running, the delay is really irritating. I also really wish the magazine was larger as I'm burning through ammo packs.

Ever since I have unlocked the Geth Infiltrator, my favourite sniper rifle has got to be the Javelin. I bloody love that weapon.

As for my favorite Infiltrator?  Salarian.  

Could you (or anyone else) elaborate on this a bit more?  This is actually a decision I am wrestling with now myself. I roll with a Human Female Engineer (love my Combat Drone) and I usually take my Mantis VIII. I been thinking about upgrading to the Widow II but am not sure about the cooldown penalty. I think I could handle it since the Drone stays spawned forever and I usually just use Overload OR Incinerate (obviously depending on the enemy).

Semi-Off Topic: Can I only get the Mantis X by buying the cheapest pack? I usually like to save up for Spectres.

This makes me think that Weapon Upgrades come more frequently to guns you have rather then fully random pulls.

Or is it really just a weird coincidence that you can get all the ones you have to X but you cant get the others? I seem to notice this a lot in the discussions I have seen.

Sorry if this is a known thing or not... I relatively new to the Multiplayer.
