I'd be willing to give it a chance but it really depends on a lot of things.
- Why does the Warden need a voice for DA3?
- What is the nature of the Warden's involvement in DA3?
- Is the player going to be able to control the Warden in DA3 (even if temporarily)?
- Does a voice just mean BioWare will be hijacking the character of the Warden as an NPC, giving them all sorts of out of character motivations?
- What about importing the face into any new facemorph system? Will that be customizable too, since its doubtful it would look the same?
Honestly, if its not going to be done really, really, really, really well just don't do it. Its not worth it for a 5 second cameo to have some deformed version of our Warden's start wise cracking out of character in some new voice with BioWare hijacking an old PC.
So mostly it comes down to why they need to add a voice in the first place? I'm guessing that means they'd be making them some kind of cameo or NPC for the new PC to interact with? If thats the case, stop. Just. stop. I don't want BioWare taking over and all of a sudden giving my Warden all sorts of varied motivations and hijacking their personality just for the sake of a cameo, or even worse, making them some super plot important person with the player not controlling them. I'd rather never see them again than have BioWare bring them back to have him do something stupid and out of character.
So pretty much even if they had multiple voice options, unless we're going to be controlling the Warden and what they're saying, the whole thing is a non starter.
Now if we had some control over the Warden as a PC, even if temporarily, then I might begrudgingly accept a voice, but mostly only if they gave some meaningful customization options with it. I don't know how they'd do it, but my Amell Warden sounds different than my Cousland who sounds different than my Aeducan. So if they can account for that and give a voice that sounds like a cross between Jeremy Irons and Ray Fiennes for my Cousland then great. Otherwise, leave the Warden alone.

I mean, dare I even ask that the Warden is given a short player-controlled moment? Still silent? Dare I ask that of you, BioWarians?
That would be ideal. If the Warden is necessary for the story, just let the player control them for that segment of the game. It would be a very unique and dare I say innovative way to handle old PCs in subsequent sequels, allowing the players to have a greater sense of agency with the overall story and version of the DA universe they're making,
