I thought it was a joke when someone mentioned this in the live thread.

Seriously, Bioware, SERIOUSLY?

Between this and the trolls, maybe the anger won't cool down as soon as I thought, after all.

I'm still keeping that tiny sliver of hope around since they haven't even finished writing the DLC just yet.  But I'm at the point where I'm pretty much done.  My dispair is getting too high for  this.

I actually joined the weekend free trial so I had an excuse to not get TOR.  I've got 2 friends that have been pressuring me to join.  I can now say I tried it and might be able to get them off my back.

So it is as I feared...they have collectively lost their minds.

Really at this point EA closing them down would be a mercy

Keep digging that hole, BioWare, everytime you mention 'artistic integrity'.

 I finally figured it out.

This is how I'm starting to feel about Bioware.  The rage at them is still stronger atm though.

I'd like to say I'm shocked by the panel today, but I'm not...there's a reason we got news of this "DLC on Thurs instead of at PAX. There's a reason why its coming out in the Summer. BW/EA is just either so delusional and view customers as simpletons with the inability to comprehend their masterpiece or they just don't care what you or I say and know that for the most part people have short memories. When DA3 hits shelves, pick up the box and think about ME3 before you swipe your credit card at the register. Only way to send the message so they can hear.

Dear Bioware, you know there is nobody on this earth who believes that, right?  You developed a game with intense interaction between the characters, and previously had lots of cut scenes about what happened to everyone - an actual denouement so to speak, but now you're "Shocked! Shocked!" that people would have wanted a comprehensive ending to the third game?

All your pre-release stuff indicated more of a capstone ending to the series, and we don't get anything about any of the races we've worked, nor much of anything about our ship mates.

And you didn't know?

Again, nobody buys that.  Your statement at PAX today makes it sound far more likely that you actually thought you could get people to pay for a final ending as a DLC.  I hadn't really believed that until now.

Again - the whole star child thing is a travesty, but I would have expected some wierd defense of this, not, you were shocked that your fans, who you clearly understood perfectly up until the last 5 minutes, would have actually wanted to know what happened to all the things they had spent the past 30+ hours working on.

Care to try again?

My own reaction to that was:

Come on Bioware, throw us a bone here and actually try to reach out to your audience. Stating nonsense like that just distances you even further from the people who want you to succeed. :crying:

They were planning a possibility for ending DLC since 2011 July. Now they just do not dare to announce that plan, which is likely the reason why they do not confirm IT.

My guess is that the fiasco related to Day 1 DLC got them on their toes, and now they didn't dare to come with their original plan.

Or they had a plan for ending dlc, but they honest to God wanted fan feedback related to ending. I just do not feel that is the truth, at least whole truth.

Will be fun when Bioware asks my money in 10 years for a Kickstarter Program.
Seriously. The extended cut should just be = Sheppard dieing from the Harbringer beam, getting a huge The End and rolling credits as fast as possible.
We didnt know there was a huge demand.SERIOUSLY?

TO whoever sai they should have written the ending and then written to it. You're right.

When I write I start at the start and see how it unfolds. But I'm writing for myself and I don't try to sell what I write. With something like ME3, you take a start point, take an end point, write both of those and see what it takes to get from the start to the end and put that in between. Yes, the end may change some because of what you put in between, but it all ties together. That's the biggest problem I had with the ending. It came from nowhere. I admit I haven't finished ME1 yet, I'm working through it though. I have finished ME2 and all of it's DLC and I've done every mission in ME3 so far. I can't recall anywhere that there was even the slightest foreshadowing for anything after Anderson dies. I would say after you 'beam up' to the citadel, but it's pretty obvious through ME3 that T.I.M. is indoctrinated. From the story we have, I get the impression that whoever wrote the ending either had it all written and didn't tell anyone the specifics or they said something like. 'The crucible docks with the citadel which is now in orbit around earth and you confront the Illusive man who's indoctrinated. Write to that.' I'll do the rest when you've done it.
