I just think this question was the only one that took them by surprise (a bit)
so the response was not flashed out by PR and whoever told it (don't remember) didn't think much

Still, it did sound as silly and it could have been

Bioforge had a better ending. The end was the same, but your actions determined which of, what, 12 or 16 different people you were before they took your memory from you and turned you into a cybernetic assassin. At least your actions defined who the character was. Not "you made a lot of choices, galaxy-shaping choices, but we're going to boil it down to red, green or blue."

Yeah, this kind of rings hollow to me.  I KNOW there was a ton of discussion and some darn good ideas thrown around on these boards prior to the games.  If they wanted to know what people wanted in the endings, they really might have wanted to check their own forums...Image IPB

Their own FORUMS?!?! Are you MAD?!?!

How DARE you suggest that Bioware use something other than Twitter and Facebook to interact with their fanbase?!?

Oh look, another person with an opinion. You should not have an opinion, especially if it contradicts mine. Stop speaking against me and get a life, preferably mine - then we can all agree to be just like me.

Whoever posted the video onto youtube would write pretty well. They ended it with a cliffhanger, when they were asked about IT. I had to go on to the next video hoping they'd shut IT down for good. Then Bioware give the most non-committal answer I've ever heard to a direct question. That makes me think that they're considering something like IT for it the extended cut doesn't calm the storm. Which it most likely won't. IF they go with IT at any point, I will be done with the ME franchise. Not Bioware as a whole as I enjoy KoTOR and the DA series but ME will be over.

Having looked back at some of your other posts I've only seen you bi*ching about people bi*ching, I admit I haven't read every single one of your posts, but have you ever considered being constructive rather than destructive?

Just curious.

Don't say that you couldn't foresee a possible negative reaction. That's not something you want to admit to if you're trying to use the artistic integrity defense. The absolute best case scenario is that it tells your audience, "We don't know what we're doing." It doesn't make the situation any better and it shows that you are clearly disconnected from reality. If you didn't see this coming or at the very least view it as a possibility, I'm surprised that your career managed to last this long. If you're arguing that it has artistic merit, you should be giving reasons as to why you did what you did... and why you felt it was worth the risk. If you claim that you didn't see the risk to begin with (as this suggests), there's no point in arguing that artists should be free to take risks... because you just said that it didn't come into play when making the decision. So, when you say something like this, it makes you come off as either incompetent or a liar feigning incompetence. It's a lose-lose.

Its hard, I know, to not let big companys, politicians and the journalists they own think for you.  It makes you warm to support them, its safe, it requires little thought.  They wont come for you or blacklist you if you uncoditionally support them.  The alternative is free thought but it can be scary.   Give it a try or get over it and stop insulting people, Bioware can take insults and expected them.  You are the one who comes off as entitled here, dropping in and trying to insult and derail conversations on Bioware's Public announcement..  People discussing the panel at PAX is just a current afair, it happened hours ago and all people are not going to agree with what Bioware had to say.  Had you said you thought Bioware were honest with their statement and people are reading to much into it, that would have been at least credible that you were not blindly following them, but you chose hate which shows you wish to deny discussion on topics or flat just be insulting.

Here are some sentence beginners to try out if you truly wish to communicate.

Bioware's statement at Pax was great because...

The Mass Effect 3 ending speaks to me in a personal way by showing me...

I really think that Bioware is trying to...

Enjoying Mass Effect 3 has made me think about...

I think the words SNAFU and FUBAR sum up quite well the current state of affairs at Bioware.

Good analysis. I think they didn't knew. Only not whay they said but that such a bad ending would create a storm like this. So yeah, they are liars.Image IPB

They might not feel remorse at all, or believe what they made was awesome, hence the comment...
And how large are we of this forum of the fanbase? 2%? We are probably not reperenstative with the fans in the whole world?

On other forums a lot of people seem to appreciate the ending. There is something about BW Social Forum and how extremely pessimistic and hateful we are.
I remember at the release of DA2. I personally love the game, and when I tried to say so I got hate replays by so many of the forum menbers. The same happens here. There might actually be a very high presentage of the fans here who like the ending, but everytime they do, the obnaxious rest shoots it down.

That being said... Im not happy with any of this. Im still waiting to judge the extended ending when I actually play it.

Maybe they're just being polite?  Or sheep going along with the people who actually think that what was said actually meant anything.

Also, we're all sat around having had plenty of time to think about what was said.  they were there in the moment, having, I imagine due to the huge screen the panel were off to one side of, just seen the amazing trailer for the multiplayer DLC for most likely the first time.  The people who were there can be forgiven a little for reactions that aren't actually in line with what they would do if they were in our position.

In their defence, if they wrote something that they thought was cool, regardless of whether you like it or not, how would they have known? Hindsight is a wonderful thing. I don't think this comment matters all that much.

"When asked why that content wasn't included in the game at launch, the dev team stood by the release in the core product."We're very proud of it," they said.  "It was important though, for us to listen to the community, and community feedback obviously didn't come until the game came out.  We couldn't have included it in the game because we didn't know there was a huge demand for it."

Bioware just go stand in the corner.
