the panel lied, either intentionally or unintentually. These quotes are from casey hudson's interviews.
"Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C.
It’s more like there are some really obvious things that are different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left your galaxy. The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them. It would be interesting to see if somebody could put together a chart for that. Even with Mass Effect 2’s..."
“There is a huge set of consequences that start stacking up as you approach the end-game. And
even in terms of the ending itself, it continues to break down to
some very large decisions. So it's not like a classic game ending
where everything is linear and you make a choice between a few things
- it really does layer in many, many different choices, up to the
final moments, where it's going to be different for everyone who
plays it.”
Yep, here's how we knew they knew:
Casey Hudson - 3/2/12
"Fans want to make sure they see things resolved, they want some closure, a great ending. I think they're going to get that.
The whole idea of Mass Effect 3 is resolving all of the biggest questions, about the Protheons and Reapers, and being in the driver's seat to end the galaxy and all these big plot lines, to decide what civilizations are going to live or die: All of these things are answered in Mass Effect 3"
No, none of those things were answered. All we were left with is three random choices that they now apparently expect us to "interpret". That works great if your series was built on intepretation, but Mass Effect did not play like the Matrix - sorry, it just did not. Springing it on us at the last second flat out fails.
I knew i was missing a couple of quotes, i just wasn't finding them in my bookmarks.
Thanks

Good call man Witcher 2 is awesome.
And has an ending that wasn't written by a child on an acid trip.

Hexley UK has this in his signature:
Yes really, thats how the greatest Sci-Fi story of the decade ended. Cmdr Sheperd rode a magic space elevator, met a glow in the dark toddler who gave him a choice of 3 colored wishes all of which ruined the galaxy with space magic and killed trillions of people. All of this happened in 14 lines of dialogue which he didn't question he just bent over and took it. Sheperd means Hero!
Space magic killed trillions of people? Since when did that happen?
So content was cut/left out ahead of time similar to a films editing process which am guessing the latter is easier because you can see it alongside the content before you decide to cut it.
As for the Casey Hudson quotes I'm not seeing any lies in those, how are you reading what you are reading into them?

I think James Vega actually runs the place. No, take that back. That's insulting him. I think even James Vega would have asked the question, "Hey, don't you think that folks would want to know what happens with everyone who survived, and all the different races? How come that's not in the ending?" And Vega ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Okay so they've got three choices:
1) admit they just f***ed up and forgot to put that stuff in
2) lie about it and thus admit they don't read forum and e-mail feedback
3) or they're just plain stupid.
Sorry if this gets the thread locked. I can't help it.

i just noticed something, you can advertise the Extension Cut DLC by using the same quote if you change the date of the quote to 4/6/12, and change the term "Mass effect 3" to " this DLC"

Mass relays blew up m8, each relay has an explosion like a super nova, 1 relay in each of the core systems..so bye bye Tuchunka, Thessia, Omega, Earth, illium and many others...also whole fleet stranded around earth.
I figure thats gotta add up to at least a couple of trillion.

This....
No.
Bioware - unforgivable.
You DID know there was a huge demand for it, hell your pre release statements were pretty much '[What we are currently asking for] will be in the ending!'
BS you didn't know what was going on.
And if you honestly didn't, and were that disconnected from your fanbase, then I know I've made the right choice by choosing not to buy Bioware again. You guys honestly have no clue what you're doing if this is true.

Yet I've never seen a company emphasize taking it seriously more than BW and deliver the so little on it... It's honestly saddening to see.
They won't even admit they did any wrong to the fans... Instead they keep saying "we're damn proud of our work"... That's fine and all, because most of the game rocked, but honestly the least they could possibly do is admit to making a little ****ing mistake.

Wait a minute- Let's rewind back to the whole Day-1 DLC controversy. He said that it would resolve our biggest questions and used Protheans as an example. If that's so then why the hell was Javik DLC?
