Meh, I'll say Dark Age of Camelot then
All time favorite game, pick one, don't need to justify or anything.

Some of the best PvP ever created for an MMO. It's sad no MMO can seem to match it in quality or fun.
I'm not sure myself. Could be Eve Online, Fallout 2 or Witcher 2.

Knights of the Old Republic.
I picked it up on a whim and didn't know ANYTHING about the game.
then the whole who you really are part came...
One of the best moments of gaming for me.

Grim Fandango.
Tetris.
Watching other people of superior skill play Dragon's Lair and Goldeneye.
Oh, that old Star Wars arcade game with the Death Star run and the towers and the trench run with the obstacles and it had this neat controller you would use. That one.
No, I'll go with Grim Fandango.

Given that this is a Bioware forum, DA:O and BG.
I'd say DA:O.
It can easily be my favorite from the hundreds of (old-like) games (Morrowind and The Longest Journey would also come to mind real fast).

Megaman X. Yeah, I said it.
ed.: Going to go ahead and justify this one: As mainly a PC gamer, I would tend towards something like Homeworld or Deus Ex. Games that used some cool new idea to break the mold and introduce a new idea to gaming. In Homeworld's case, the ideas that it spawned have never again been used with true freedom anywhere else, which is sad.
Megaman X, however, is a better game than both of these games. Not because it is deeper, or shot for heigher heights. It is a better game because it is flawless in its simplicity. You must advance through 13 levels, all of which have linear pathing. You only ever play as one character. Upgrades are marginal. You make no choices other than what order you complete the 8 main stages. Enemies are re-used often. But these factors, which often make things bad, made Megaman X good. Instead of looking outwards at new things that could be done, Megaman X looked inward and absolutely perfected the few simple things it was going to do. The game's mechanisms are fundamentally solid on a level that games these days can't even dream of.
