I'm of the mind of compromise between what I want and what the maker wants. Games as a medium are equal parts art and consumer product. I've been a vocal member of Retake, and from the beginning a realistic goal was never dominance over the product. While its an entirely legitimate argument to make about false advertising and receiving the product wanted to purchase, it was never a realistic goal - and even if everyone had gone to the FTC with this fiasco, Bioware would have been utterly burned to the ground rather than shamed by their fans.

I'm happy with the result of the Retake movement. I've decided that since it no longer has a clear goal and no leg to stand on, it is mission complete. As a consumer I stood up and made change, having Bioware reprioritize their DLC initiatives. I held the line and I can live with a control ending if we are given a decent end game reel and epilogue as we deserve. Am I satisfied? No, but I am happy. My trust in Bioware has been shattered and all their games will be purchased used or heavily discounted from here on out, but I will still play their products because of this DLC.

He's jumping to a lot of assumptions based on the wording of the dlc statement. I personally think he's completely offbase, especially suggesting that the end result is going to be a 10 minute cinema. If it was going to be a 10 minute cinema it would have been out by now.

They're not taking months of effort on this for cinematics.

Do you know how much work goes into cinematics? They need to write and record new dialogue and animate (hopefully) all new sequences. 10 minutes, if they're not in any rush to get this out, seems like a reasonable guess for 2-3 months of work.

Angry Joe has pretty much nailed it. Those of us who see the ending as an illogical lore-breaking mess did not ask for a more detailed explanation of that train wreck. It is still an ABC ending, it is still a 'bespoke' ending we are all funneled into, it still makes all the choices we made during the series meaningless. The only thing it *might* do is provide some level of closure.

Thats pretty harsh. Did he trash one of your favourite games or something? I'll admit his reviews are a bit silly and over the top but thats why I like them.

I used to like him and his reviews. And then I realized he doesn't really know anything. And then the VGA stunt happened, and he lost all credibility with me.

He is at least right in one point, if what we got is really the best Bioware could come up with it proves that Bioware isn't as good as I thought they are.

Bioware specifically said that they aren't changing the ending. Star child stays and your endings stay, they just expand on them. So how is he wrong? It came straight from the horse's mouth, it was just repeated here.

My gripe is just with Angry Joe, there's no ulterior motive coming from me. I could care less of sides in this.

I have been a fan of Angryjoe for years, and this is the his first video that really disappoints me, not even the Spike VGA coverage could lower my opinion of him. The fact that he's still pushing IT just means he has no ****ing clue what he's talking about here.

My husband and I used to be huge fans and now we're just disappointed by him.

That's assuming they even know how to patch up all the holes. Personally I think they don't, since the endings were an obvious attempt at taking the easy way out.

In general I would say, assumptions are all you have right now. Problem is, companies tend to issue statements that make the Oracle of Delphi look as being too straight with it's customers. A little less PR gibberish and more substance would do all involved parties some good.

He's probably spot on. Cinemtatics take a long time to make.
