He may be a little annoying and i hate his hair but he is right. Best case, IT is correct, its shows that, maybe some gameplay, Bioware saves the day. Worst case, IT false, they just explain to the unwashed masses why space magic and the god child are logical, fail miserably (cuz they aren't...) and good bye forever Bioware
You do realize that space operas don't have to explain anything at all, right? It's not hard science or supposed to be a speculative fiction on what the world may be in 200 years, it is supposed to be a sci-fi fantasy adventure in the same vein as Star Wars, basically a Tolkien story with aliens.
So really, going by that the idea of things being illogical is...silly, really. Especially considering you have a universe where people develop magic powers due to space dust that may give them cancer, along with a messianic figure who came back from the dead due to cybernetic implants....after being in the vacumn of space and having no body what so ever.

If they do go forward with the IT, there is simply too much they can point at to verify that it was always the plan.Genshie wrote...
You guys realize that by accepting the IT that people will demand Bioware to give them credit and it will show that people who have little to no education or that are even qualified to give a say on things run in a company. Yeah, that doesn't sound good at all.
Be it their original intent or not, it will still look enough like it was their idea, the goundwork is laid out.

And you do realize that science fiction has different sub-genres? Mass Effect is nothing like Star Wars, because Star Wars is essentially fantasy or fairy tale (as a genre) (rescuing the princess, the knight in (not so) shining armor, mostly unexplained creatures and mystical powers).
Mass Effect is rather very much like Star Trek, focusing on diplomatic relationships, complex dilemmas and technology, that, while not being scientificaly sound in reality, still works within set limits. Also Mass Effects is not black and white (as are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings), but mostly different shades of grey.
Throughout the games certain rules of the world ME plays in were established, but were discarded in the last few minutes - without explanation and without good reason.

Damage control.
They didn't anticipate such a strong reaction from the market.

Can't sell DLC to a fanbase that hates you. Make them happy, show them that you are the good guy, you make more money later on. Basic business tactic. Even drug dealers know this.
Despite not getting a new ending like most complainers wanted, they are getting a cinematic extension of the old, craptastic one. Despite this people are eating it up and saying, "It's better than nothing!"

The series is marketed as a space opera, which is supposed to have fantastical elements into it from the get go. Your right, it's not as black and white, but honestly that is not the point, because in the end, the series was compared to Star Wars upon release, is still touted as a space opera video game and a modern take on the genre, and is analagous to Star Wars in it's basic narrative structure; Reapers= Great evil, must kill them.
And that still shined through in Mass Effect 3, even the ending didn't really do much to get rid of the fact that the reapers were the bad guys here.

This guy knows what makes a good ending, and Bioware would be wise to listen to him.
His rants about EA may be off base though, as I have no idea what sort of contractual relationship EA and Bioware entered, namely, how much autonomy Bioware retained in the deal.
About the gameplay though, and the ME3 narrative, Angryjoe is refreshingly right.

But shouldn't we WAIT before make any assumptions about the DLC?
I'm not holding my breath, but I'll wait to see what comes out of this before judging anything.

Wasn't this disproven by Bioware? Then agian I can understand why they would lie.
Also I agree with Joe.

I wish more people here had moderate opinions here. I'm tired of this Retaker vs. Proender madness.
My gripe is just with Angry Joe, there's no ulterior motive coming from me. I could care less of sides in this.
And OT:
I really wish Bioware would have at least acknowledged that there are so many that dislike the current ending. Now, I didn't hate it as much as some, but claiming that "a vocal minority" disliked the ending when some poles say it is closer to 80% that disliked the endings is just childish.
And don't even get me started on "artistic integrity"...

It is too much of being a he-said/she-said thing to be creidble proof. And honestly, if it was true, then the writer would have been fired already, and that said writer I believe is working on the Extended Cut DLC.
