So,before PAX panel, some BW/EA people said following things, and they gave hope to us about lame finals. In the end like everything else these things turned out to lies, they said because to avoid more angry fans.

We've been trolled.

Before PAX via Twitter:

Michael Gamble:

Question: so from the press release I'm understanding all the dlc will be is a few cinematics? Thats not what most wanted....

Michael Gamble: no. It won't just be a 'few cinematics'

In PAX:

Official Response about it:

currently planning on extended cinematics but cannot currently comment otherwise. "keep giving us your feedback."

"More than just a few cinematic scenes - definitely a considerable amount. So we're happy to be doing it."
More then 5 cinematics, yay!

Before PAX, Ms. Merizan's Response over Twitter:

Question: 0_o. So...there is hope for that "golden ending" after all? I did my very best to try to have shepard and crew survive.

Response: yes but with some sacrifices depending on the end you chose. Ending is never perfect but Shep/crew reunited is possible :)

In PAX:

Official:

"Will Extended Cut provide new endings?" no no new endings, but closure

Before PAX:

But alas they will because Turians and Quarians can't eat human food. Not pleased with the news.
no one starves to death. This is what clarity and closure free DLC is for :) Just wait and see!

After PAX:
No info.

Before PAX:

Indoctrination Theory still stands.

After PAX:

Official:

"The indoctrination theory illustrates again how, um, committed the fanbase is..." don't want to comment either way. Don't want to be prescriprive -- fans interpret their own way, plus DLC coming. "We want the content to speak for itself, and we'll let it do so"

After this, did i miss something or everything i wrote here is basically a wrong info, i would like to hear.

SPACE MAGIC ! :wizard:

For all I know IT hasn't been officially denied yet. What did they say exactly?

I'd appreciate references for each statement. Not saying that to be a douche, I actually would.

Please, can we cite those sources a bit more clearly? I'd like to avoid replying out of ignorance.

I'm saying it to be a douche, include references. That wasn't my takeaway, at all.

In PAX:

Denied. There's no squad unite, only missing cutscenes with Anderson and your smates who were dying during Beam Run

They most definitely did not deny the IT. I really hope they use it.

We don't need one, Bioware lies and deletes mistakes all the time now.
And this is Bioware so obviously it is true, so stop your ignorance.

I saw the panel and don't recall hearing those specific answers. Care to mention sources?

Most importantly, IT is less likely now, but not denied :/. Also no mention on gameplay, I remember him mentioning something like no details available on that.

Please do post your sources, as this sounds just a bit too trolley. Given the current state of affairs, we don't need more missinformation...

At OP, from your source:

Q: Ending DLC. More cut-scenes, or additional gameplay?

A: currently planning on extended cinematics but cannot currently comment otherwise. "keep giving us your feedback."

How does that translate to no gameplay? :/

wow, the link is not hard to miss below of the post right ?

In addition, they insist that IT is something fans created. We already know there will be only cinematics.

Starchild stuff was process of indoctrination. So, technically we need to have gameplay to finalize the game, but we dont have.

They already said, ends will remain same, so what do you want to hear exactly ?

'We dont need your stupid theories, Artistic Integrity is undeniable fact on our games' kinda answer ?

"More than just a few cinematic scenes - definitely a considerable amount. So we're happy to be doing it."

More then just few - considerable amount: no gameplay. If there would be a gameplay dont you think they'll add this to statement too ?

Honestly, I feel like they said whatever they had to in order to appease fans prior to pax, so they wouldn't get lynched.

Now that its presumably over, they're under no obligation to uphold any of those promises. Hope it bites them in the ass.

There are a ton of assumptions being made here. Why assume that IT being true means we need additional gameplay? Why assume that the comments made at PAX preclude the IT being true? They go out of their way to say they wont confirm or deny it, and will let the content speak for itself.

Which is definitely why the Retake movement has to resume business as usual . This was all a PR trick to defray the pressure . We must re-apply the pressure and gain visibility .

1- They said no gameplay:

Starchild remains, relays gone (ms. merizan says they'll be re-constructed, possible).

Shepard dies in 2 color endings, in 1 he's alive (whereabouts are unknown, since BW said Citadel wasn't destroyed completely)

In this case, with FTL tech, rescuing crew will take time (months, years ?)

Since Shepard himself is not aboard the Normandy (destroy ending), re-unite is not possible.

2- Unless:

a) We have Reaper FTL device (space magic !)
B) Developed new FTL (space magic !)
c) Garrus-Tali find something to eat until extraction (plot hole - space magic !)

Doesn't mean no squad reunite. The 'closure' could be just that, in fact.
