 For some reason I thought about it and it hit me: to experience the new "extended" ending I woul have to replay the entire last mission including the god-child part. Normally in mass effect a repeat would be welcome but I find myself turned off by the idea of doing it again. 

So given that all our auto saves are prior to the Earth mission, who will actually play thru the missions to see the new extra end??  

I think that since I already know its the same end with extra info thrown in, I think I'll just look it up online. I'm having a hard time getting excited about replaying that ending knowing its the same. Anyone??

Yeah. The last mission wasn't particularly good in it's own right. Think I may wait to see what people think of it.

Haven't touched single player since I beat it the first time, but isn't there an auto save that puts you at the citadel after you get hit by Harbinger? Worst case you have to listen to Starbrat again.

You keep saying 'play', it's just cinematics, you don't 'play' anything.

But yeah, I'll play the game to see these new cinematics... but there are just so many plot holes that need filling there's going to have to be literally loads of them.

Hmmm. Maybe there is. I was thinking the last autosavd was on the Normandy before the last mission after the "buy DLC" message. I honestly haven't touched it since I beat it.

I'm just curious. I think mass effect may be dead to me. So sad

I'm on my ME->ME2->ME3 playthrough, and I'll leave it at the start of the final mission. Plus I always have a bunch of saves in the event that there's stuff added earlier in the game.

Yeah; I'm running my various Sheps through ME3 now, but I'm just getting them up to the last bit o' London and saving it there, so I can go straight into the expanded endings when they come out.

I will play it. But my worry is that probably it will not feel like truly my ending, like the rest of the story felt like it was my story.

Ha, epic!

I think I will wait and see what the fan reaction is before I try it. If it causes another outcry (and if I were a betting man, thats where my money would be) I will stay clear.

Still havent touched the game since I beat it. So sad. With the previous 2 I was on my third playthrough at this point after release.

Yeah, I will. Easiest way to judge if it delivers. Autosave indeed puts you on Normandy pre-Cerberus base, but you have another save called "Restart mission" and this one is just the Citadel bit.

I'll trust Bioware will bring forward some decent closure,so i might aswell do a second playthrough finally,i'll just wait little while until it comes out

I'm on a wait and see. If I see good reviews from players I trust (irl friends) or good YouTube footage I'll play throught it. At this point with all the double speak and out right lies/ statements made in magazines (16 endings, really?) I trust anything from them as much as a campaigning politician (sorry, Jessica. You're amazing, but there's too much vagueness and double speak from other quarters.)

Bottom line, if it doesn't fit with what I think my Shep would have done I'd rather think of it like The Godfather III, it never happened. My Shep would have thrown out peace with the Geth and Quarrians, if vent boy still pushed she'd have tosses an EMP in some form at his process and found another option.

I may but I doubt it until all sp dlc is out and the Shep ark of the story is done. As it stands I cant see the point in finishing the game, unless this dlc clears up a lot of the plot holes introduced in the end and actually gives some closure rather than adding in more questions I cant see my self installing any ME game again.

I'm Dutch and the Extended Cut will be free and we -love- things that are free, so yes I will.

Also, I'm hopeful that by Summer EA/Bioware will have adjusted their goals and have decided to give us a proper ending to this game.
