You wanted closure, did you not? That includes showing what happens with teammates and the rest of the galaxy. They need something for each surviving and dead teammate, and something for each of the choices you made throughout the game, such as the Genophage and the Geth/Quarian conflict. There's a lot of personal possibilities in there, something that they also hinted at during that panel yesterday.

Good points but you are expecting a lot more than I am. I have always been a realist/pesemist but I have to say I dont mind being wrong.

And after the end of NVM2 Bioware still managed to pull Mask of the Betrayer on us. :D

That was Obsidian, not Bioware.

Point taken. It's been a while since I've played that. :(

Still, it shows that out of what seemingly seems like a really bad idea, something really damn amazing can still be made.

Yeah, there's a save when you talk to TIM. The only problem with that is YOU CAN'T SKIP THAT DIALOGUE AT ALL. Believe me, I had to listen to it three times because I didn't get the dialogue I wanted...

Well, probably not. I'll download it and probably watch it on youtube.

And to answer the question...I'll be looking it up on youtube first. I have precisely zero confidence in Bioware after all of this, and the way they've treated us through the whole ordeal. I see more "artistic integrity" in my cat's litterbox than the ending, so unless they change their "we're not adding new endings" stance, frankly, I can't imagine how downloading it will even be worth the time it takes to press the button.

Sure, it can...if they recognize how stupid the ending is, and what needs fixing. But they've made it pretty clear that they don't, and they obviously aren't listening to us. Cause remember, pulling a MotB would be - wait for it - a new ending. Which they've explicitly said we're not getting.

@erixxx Very true, I'm not exactly happy that they threw starkid in there at the end, but considering the themes they're trying to pull in in the 11th hour of the trilogy I can forgive that... Sort of. If they pull of a well written ME version of the DA:O epilogue I'll certainly be happier, but if it's just about spoon feeding how each of the three chices are logical and correct I'm not touching it at all.

Really what I see happening here isn't anything new. They had a significant change in the creative team for whatever reason and the transition from the old team's plot to the new team's didn't work well. If they wanted to see how this was done well, especially in the genre, they should have looked at something like Doctor Who where they've handled this exact thing for almost 50 years. Even before the re-launch they transitioned well not just from leading actors, but producers and key writing staff.

I'm going to look to the forums for a brief summary before I download it. If it fails to satisfy then I'd rather just forget it. It's a lot easier to write off the starbrat and Joker's Planet Wonderland without attempts to tether them tighter to the Mass Effect reality.

It'll probably be just 10 more minutes of cinematics at max, so, no, I don't think I'll be playing the ending. I'll watch a youtube video. But it depends on exactly how much they'll add. If it is significant, I might even play it, although, if there are no new gameplay parts... why bother playing?

I doubt I'll bother. There's far more fundamentally wrong with the game, than just the ending(s).

The reason why I'm not upset over the new themes introduced is that I've seen that way too many times in stories, and in most cases that usually means more is coming. This whole game is a setup for future installments in the series. And I can't complain about that. The main story, Shepard vs Reapers, is over and done with, and more Mass Effect means more quality entertainment for me.

I'm planning on replaying the entire ME series, completing every single side quest. Hopefully this DLC will already be out by the time I've gotten that far.
But absolutely, I love the franchise and I will replay it, despite the entire London mission being quite... meh.

I will play it I guess, have to see if it makes the rest of the series replayable again. But I have my doubts. And it is free so there is no reason to not download it. Anything can make the current ending better.

By the time it comes out, it'll probably have been long enough that I wouldn't mind playing it again. On my third playthrough now (Infiltrator, Adept, then Vanguard). Hate the endings but the variety between classes still makes gameplay fun.

You tube first and if I like it, I'll play it in game.
That way if I still don't like the content (or -gasp- somehow ended up far worse than the original ending) I won't be that dissapointed. A lot less painful seeing it with some one else's Shep instead of going thru it with MY Shep..

Ill download it as soon as im able. If it provides me with different outcomes and closure throu decent epilogues, then ill even have a reason to finally boot up my other Shepards.
