Time will tell whether Bioware implement these things well, but at least we know they're thinking about it.

I hope Oghren makes return and he is immune to the taint or something (because of his unhealthy drinking habits)! XD
I hope he's dead.
Same here.

I'd like to see Anders again. And Cullen. And Nathaniel. And I would like to go to Orlais. After all, that's where Sandal's next job was!

I suppose Awakening was the last old style game from Bioware. Now I really want to see the panel to hear what they have to say about the future... but my interest is slipping away: slowly but surely.

Is there a video of the panel?
Not as of yet.

I hope they have plenty of time to design this game.
Me too, 2 years is crazy short time.

That's probably why they quit working on the DAII expansion pack. They knew EA wasn't going to give them enough time to do both so they decided to focus all on DAIII.

Pretty sure that mysterious green-tinged, itchy skin disease will have finished Oghren off by DA3!

Q6: Will we see more class-specific stuff? Mage only storylines, etc.
A6: Yes. In general, more exclusive content based on how you play / choices you make on all fronts.
A6b: Considering more story impact for specializations, for instance. (Blood Mage, especially.)
This would be really cool. I hope they can find a way to implement this idea. They don't necessarily have to acknowledge all classes but having followers, at the very least, notice you're practicing blood magic would make a lot of sense.

I like the sound of this.
I try not to reference other games too much (because I just want Bioware to be influenced by themselves) but in this case I want to mention Witcher 2 - how chapter 2 could be entirely different depending on a chapter 1 choice. The player won't get access to some quests or meet certain characters. This was fantastic. We don't need every player to see every quest in every game.
Linking unique quests to the classes would be a nice way to do it in DA. It might even finally get me to play as a rogue for the very first time :innocent:

DA2 had a little of this; for exampe, how you treated Keran.

To be fair, Dragon Age 2 did this quite a bit. Isabella is written out of the game if you don't talk to her in act 1, and almost all your companions can leave you in the end or tryn to kill you. Its one of the things DA2 did well.

This ... is so unexpected, I wonder if this is the same Mike Laidlaw who wouldn't go back 180 degree.
This does give some hope because some the ideas mentioned are part of my main gripe. I hope it's not another PR empty talks though.
I don't think so. I think the Dragon Age Team is actually really interested in trying to find a balance with their fanbase. Do you think they enjoy having to deal with the polorizing nerd rage we've seen with DA 2 and now Mass Effect 3?
And I always have gotten the sense the Dragon Age guys are always listening. Which is commendable after a year of being crapped on by this forum.

I hope he's commanding some Grey Wardens. Or give him an arc where he hits rock bottom with the booze and has to redeem himself. Varric's a caring guy. He'd probably want to help Oghren out and I could finally have my dream of seeing my two favorite dwarves together in a game.

I'm trying not to read too much into it. I dunno, in my experience, when someone asks, "will there be MOAR?!" and a dev chooses that question and responds with, "heck yea there's MOAR!", it tends to be a rather meaningless exchange in actuality. We'll see for ourselves when the pudding becomes available for examination.G00N3R7883 wrote...

Oooh I'm more excited about how specialisation will impact story.
I know a lot of players wanted people running from their blood mages in fear.
After hearing our feedback for DA2, I really think DA3 will be amazing.
^this would have been awesome to have people (Anders say something) repsond to my evil blood mage in DA2. This is sounding good...glad to hear they are voicing the protaganist as well.

My gosh...THIS.
Laidlaw. DRAGON AGE TEAM... you can do whatever you want if you just include unique content per play and choices make. Give me unique story arcs for my unique class or even gender. That will be awesome.
