Well this time ME3 has started stuttering!

I get a good smooth FPS of 55 - 59, and abruptly it starts stuttering to 5 FPS.

By chance I've recorded the video of the stutte this time and would hopefully would help to make you people understand the problem i'm facing.:wizard:

Are you downloading something in the background unknowingly?

I had my game start stuttering once and it turned out that Steam was downloading some patches for other games at the moment. I shut down the always on Steam and it solved the problem.

I suspect this is a memory issue of some type, a process not releasing memory resulting in eventual page swaps to the HDD. My pc does the same thing but only after approx 2 hours of game play (seems to effect either SP or MP ).

I'm running on Windows XP SP3 so I thought it was my machine but if I'm not the only one perhaps the dev's need to have a look.

I gave my system a rest, and now started the computer, and now the stutter have grown more frequent. I'm trying to play right now [my ID is same my BSN ID], but I gotta take cover whenever I get the abrupt frame drop. I'm dead right now and I'm getting the time to write the post :)

Meatsach,
Initalliy, I felt it was my system's memory issue, or some page filing issue which is creating the problem. But I doubt, I have not set any kind of restriction neither through NV control panel or through some software.

I hope to find a resolution. Bugs just keep come and go right now.

I have the same problem, especially during MP. Game runs fine at the beginning, and starts to shutter in last waves, which sucks as I tend to play with a sniper :'(

I have Dell Vostro 3750: 4 GB RAM, Intel Core i5-2410M and GeForce 525M (around recommended spec, and I was able to play SP on max details, where the shutter started around 2 hours, but MP starts to shutter after 10 minutes). No idea how to resolve atm.

Well I thing everyone effected agrees it some type of resourcing issue. What OS is everyone running. I've got Windows XP SP 3 on an Athlon processor and an HD2400 ATI card ( I know, ancient )

I've also confirmed its not an overheating issue. And all my drivers are up to date.

After I posted the topic over here. I thought of asking the EA Help.

This is what they told me to do:

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

I appreciate your interest in Mass Effect 3. I understand that you are facing problem regarding frame rate dropping while playing the game.

I understand how irritating this could be. Do not worry I will definitely assist you. This is an online connectivity problem.

To get this resolved, I am providing you some troubleshooting steps. I request you to please perform the given steps accordingly.

PC Online Connectivity steps:

Disable firewall and antivirus:
I request you to temporarily disable any firewalls you have running on your system: - • Software firewalls can simply be turned off, usually by right clicking on the icons near your clock and selecting "Close" or "Exit". • Hardware firewalls should be bypassed by going from the computer directly to your modem, skipping any router you may have.

Please try power-cycling your modem. For this, switch off your modem and leave it un-powered for about 2 minutes then re-start the modem, this should power cycle your modem.

Online ports: For Battlefield 3 only
TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

We may also suggest to try running the game in Admin mode and update Punkbuster using the link (Battlefield 3 Only)

I genuinely appreciate your efforts in getting this resolved. I assure you my continual support in this

We appreciate your patience and understanding.

It actually didn't solved the problem.

I don't know he gave me "PC Online Connectivity" troubleshoot. It's not even a problem of lag or connectivity. It's some software 'code' problem

I tried to disable ingame origin, but that didn't help. Also, the menu after the shutter bug lags too.

Ok great!
I was expecting the new patch would help [just a misleading thought]
But now the stutter have gone worse.

I had this problem last night. Turned out that Windows decided to run its System Assessment Tool in the background, while I was playing. I shut down WinSAT.exe, and everything returned to normal.

Yeah, but I have it persistently. 1.02 patch didn't help.

I had an odd dip a few days ago. I restarted and the sutter continued. I then overclocked my Video card again (have to redo after every driver change) and increased my fans speed on a hunch it was heat. After that, ME3 has run smoothly.
