Disappointment being measured by what's expected to what was actually the case. Then to answer the OP, yes.

ME3 is the most disappointing game being that it was the most anticipated game, with a lacking ending that for most here, retroactively tarnished the entire series.

yes its a real disappointment .. ME1 was super(story exploration everything) ME2 so so ME3 just a stupid shooter (your choices doesn't matter anyway) (coop sucks &boring) ..I took like 10+ ME 1 rounds 5 ME2 and after 2 ME3 I'm fed up I don't even want see extended cut as galaxy is ruined anyway

ME3 had absolutely massive potential, possibly the highest potential in a game I've seen in a while. It wasted almost all of that.

So yeah, most disappointing for sure.

big time. I was so hyped about getting Me3 i forked out for the CE version, to show my thanks for just how well Bioware had done on the first two games. When I finished ME3, I felt screwed over for my support.

Even if Bioware can somehow resurrect ME3, I am honestly going to have some serious reservations about getting another Bioware game, at least new anyway. Dragon Age 2, The Old Republic, and now ME3. 3 games that should've been epic have fallen way below par.

It earned the award of "Most Disappointing Game of 2012," however, it was a great game up until the end. There were a few things I had problems with, but I was completely enthralled with it on my first play through to the point where I didn't really realize it (like that ****ty quest system).

im 39, ive been gaming since i was 7. ive never had a games ending retroactively destroy my interest in an entire franchise before. so yeah for me its the most disapointing game of 2012 and of the last 32 years

but the last 10mins with the Star Child? Yes most awful ending.

But most disappointing game of 2012 is in fact Jay Wilsons Diablo 3.

Absolutely not. 99% of the game was fantastic, probably a 9.6/10 in my opinion. And I'm not willing to forget what a great time I had getting TO the ending just because I hated the ending. And I hated it because it was insufficient and poorly executed, not because it was root canal or anything even close to it.

I'm guessing the many of the same people who say that ME3 was the most disappointing game of 2012 are the ones who are willing to say things like "Obama is a communist dictator" or "OMG I have a pimple, I'm the most miserable person on the planet."

Theres a difference from playing a bad game that you were expecting to be bad or could tell wasn't all that much right away, and playing a game that you think will be good, looks good, and dropped the ball right on your foot.

There's also a difference between playing a game that you think will be good, looks good, and dropped the ball right on your foot and playing a game that you think will be good, looks good, plays well, and drops the ball after 35 hours of awesome gameplay (which is five times the average length of fun that an average single-player campaign gives you nowadays).

That is not true while the endings were bad the rest of the game was good if your going to critize a game then critize the entire game or shut up.

ME3, as a whole, was indeed far worse in every aspect than ME2. The more i play the game, the more im disappointed in it as i pick up on the nuances that simply make Mass Effect 3 just not Mass Effect.

And thats before i get to the endings.

Fine. What has disappointed you more?

I can't speak for N7 Bravo, but all games i have purchased this year have not disappointed me. Though the only game i have purchased other than ME3 is Max Payne 3  (which has an fantastic story btw, R* ftw)

Thats ok, you're allowed to like less dialogue and more shooting, theres this game called Gears of War thats right up your alley.
