So if all the theories out there about the ending not being what it seems are all wrong, that just leaves us with the endings.
Destruction/Disabling the mass relays: What can be created can be recreated, it would make sense to destroy them since they are Reaper creations. With them out of the picture it's time for us to build our own technology, which I am assuming would have to be based off Reaper tech.
Destruction of the Citadel: Same as above. Though the control ending doesn't destroy it, that complicates things.
Dark energy plot 'being left out': They have stated that this isn't the end of Mass Effect, just this story arc. It may be possible that dark energy will tie in the next game/series.
Reason for the Reapers Genocide: Honestly, I liked the reason. It's a machines non-organic way of thinking that makes it make sense.
"We are the Harbinger of your perfection"
"We impose order on the chaos of organic evolution and existence"
"That which you know as Reapers are your salvation through destruction"
Though Sovereigns line "Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident" is confusing given what has transpired and goes against them 'helping us'...........or does it? Again, a machines level of thinking is something organics can't comprehend, at least not easily.
I can't explain the synergy ending though, that one confuses me and I'm having a hard time seeing how it can be included with the other two endings in any games made after this timeline. Remember how Shepard could die at the end of ME2? Yet that ending had no place in ME3. Maybe that might be the case with synergy in ME4.
I'm not ticked at Bioware, the whole series was enjoyable and I would do a 3 game playthrough again. The ending was confusing, hopefully the extended cut dlc can explain some of this, especially the green ending. Confuses the hell out of me.
